Today 15c is a struggle for many. And tomorrow looks only slightly warmer than today. As my living room faces north east towards a woodland, it doesn't receive any wamrth, so I had to put the heating on this morning. That's the second day in June I've had to cave in.
it's 11'c here in Bedworth and horrible. Please god let their be some summer in the charts this week coming

It's 11'c here, drizzling and grey.
Even winter would struggle to be more depressing than this

Can hear thunder and there are cells to the west of here (Bedworth WARKS) and another developing cell just south of Coventry

The Hunga tonga ha'hai volcanic eruption, has been upgraded to a VE6 and is said to have been as powerful as Krakatoa and more powerful than Pinatubo.

Well, there you go.... More disappointment.
I swear to god if we ever a have a nuclear winter, the Midlands would be the best place to be as we Never get snow
-
no news on the snow this morning, I'm assuming it's gone out of the window like all the snow from winter?

A good winter for those struggling with soaring energy prices.
How about a nuclear missile.
if we get a nuclear winter, we'd still be the only country on earth where is didn't snow

Funny how just a couple of weeks ago many were complaining about lack of anything happening for weeks.. fast forward to now many saying they want nothing to happen again! Never happy are we!
I'm happy with all this weather action, it's much better than the anticyclonic gloom we had for weeks a short while ago

It's much stronger here too, we just had a god almighty squall with hail and severe gales come through. The worst of the winds will be tomorrow morning too

-
The wind here now is terrific, we had a big hailstorm too, it blew a window wide open and I had to really struggle to get it shut again
-
Well, that was a pretty underwhelming squall , seems like we are doomed to dullness in this part of the world
-
Suddenly windier than yesterday here right now?!
Tomorrow looks worse for this region too

I'm not sure what people want.. do they want their roofs to be ripped off their houses in order to feel justified in the event being as severe as expected?
Doesn't matter what people want.
The weather doesn't listen.
Otherwise we'd have 1963 winters every year

Beautiful Sunset this Evening over Northamptonshire 30/01/22
Wonder if we're getting the sunsets from the Tonga eruption?

I hope to God we get some sunshine today.
I can't remember a more bleak and depressing winter as this one, I'm not even bothered if it snows anymore, I just need some variety.
Waking up every day to bleak, grey, nothingness, is just soul destroying.
I've never had SAD before, but I think a lot of people are feeling it here this year, especially with Covid and fear of war with Russia looming. What a mess the world is in atm

Oh heck, not another day 10 chase, it's exhausting.
Oh, alright, I suppose so then.........

Mount st Helens in terms of eruption size was nothing compared to this eruption
I was thinking more that this eruption has ejected a similar amount of ash to st helens because it was mainly water vapour? I think it must be a similar size to Krakatoa. Maybe we'll get some cold weather now lol?

I wonder if the dust from the explosion will impact the coming winter month's weather around the world, Mnt St Helens did, and that was a similar size I think?
-
Got down to -3.5'c last night and there is a good white frost.
Maybe winter is coming after all
-
Well, as per we are stuck at 1.4'c and 1.3'c dp, and as per, it'll refuse to drop below zero on either count, at least whilst there is precipitation about.
NEXT!.........
