It's windy here, though nothing remarkable yet. We've had four brief power outages tonight. Though they're not apparently weather-related, they're certainly adding to the atmosphere.
Very still and quiet here at the moment. I still have my doubts as to whether this storm will amount to much here on the north east coast but the south and south west look to be in for a lively time.
The storm has been downgraded considerably. In fact, you'd be hard put to call it a storm, more like blustery weather. Of course, with the usual caveat that things may change nearer the event.
So far, a bit of a non-event. Blustery but nothing out of the ordinary for here. The dustbins are vertical rather than horizontal, which is a good measure.
Welcome BMA. You're arriving at an interesting time. Yes, coastal regions will bear the brunt, but it looks as if everyone will be affected, even those of us hidden behind the Castlereagh Hills.
I'm thankful we're having the family do tonight as people have to disperse for xmas. Just at the moment I'm knackered - stopped for a coffee - but at least everyone will arrive and leave safely and I can enjoy the storms.
This will make Smithy happy - it's snowing here. Or to be more precise, it's alternating between snow and sleet.
Yes,that storm's a worry. These dartboards usually downgrade but this one isn't.
Snow on the tops of the Castlereagh hills today and what might have been a short snow shower at about 6pm (difficult to see from inside a bus but it looked like snow on the windscreen). By the looks of the radar pretty well anywhere could get a shower tonight.
We now have wind - It was beginning to feel like a party to which I hadn't been invited. However, there's now a satisfactory howling outside and it's not a dog.
I've finally swum home. On the radio, warning about high winds and surface water (as if I hadn't already found that out, lol). Drains already overflowing, and it's only just started here. There's going to be localised flooding for sure.
