  1. Morning All, a clear night with no breeze has allowed the temperatures to drop to an overnight low of -0.9°C at: 04:01, currently -0.6°C, it may of course go lower as day breaks..
  2. Morning All, after some overnight showers, that seems the order of the day as another approaches rapidly.. Last nights' low a mere 2.2°C at: 06:25 and currently 10.6°C with the wind having picked up again from the NNW.. The beachcam shot this morning shows the approaching shower (which I am under now) as it moves along over Poole Bay.... And 5mins later it looks like this.. And 5mins later reaches the webcam..
  3. Has been the same hereafter peaking at 13.8°C at: 15:03, the wind has been fairly constant through the day, but the sun has warmed nicely, so no complaints... the beach again is deserted, I bet the town shops are really feeling this right now as a Bank Holiday week in this town usually means "Get the heck outta Bournemouth ... the grockles are here.." but not so this year... (not that I live in Bournemouth, but...just waiting for the government folks to do as they did on 1 April 1974, and extended the Dorset boundary...maybe they'll move it to include Christchurch now its part of BCP..!)
  4. Morning All, a sunny start to the day, with the cloud streaming in from the west, and the breeze increasing in strength from the NW. The overnight low, mild by recent days, was 6.5°C at: 05:53, and currently we are at11.2°C, rainfall so far this month has now exceeded Aprils drought figure and stands currently at 6.6 mm...meanwhile the beach looks quiet today....
  5. Yup, it's windy... Oh and we've captured 0.8mm of rain, can't see us getting too much more out of this one..it's just too far north... A tad choppy down on the beach as a few folks tempt the surf..
  6. The breeze has increased in strength quite quickly, typically to get one blustery day before the cherry blossom sets, ah well, it is what it is...!The beach is deserted for a May Bank Holiday monday, with the one brave family having most of the beach to themselves...
  7. Morning All, the overnight low struggled but it did hit 0.0°C at: 05:27, currently 3.0°C , with some Cu with a very light breeze, and the airport reporting fog..
  8. Missed again on the shower opportunity, but c'est la vie.. after peaking at 12.8°C at: 13:38, currently 10.7°C... the wind has veered round to the south west in readiness for the incoming front tomorrow..maybe, just maybe we get lucky and get some decent rainfall, (save my water bill!)....
  9. Interesting day, the air quality graph has been ALL over the place today with the changes in airflow, as shown below:
  10. Whilst looking promising, it appears not to have the b#lls to deliver, as it subsides moving over us....Damn looking good to our NE as the cell intensifies just too far east for us to appreciate...
  11. The convergence zone is setting up nicely, her whilst in bright sunshine things are building..
  12. Morning All (again!), the overnight low did manage to drop sub zero after my earlier post reaching -0.7°C at: 06:12 and currently with partly cloud skies it's 9.8°C.. the very light breeze is still in from the north, so I wonder if a convergence zone might be created again today, we shall see.. The beach looks empty for a May Bank Holiday weekend..
  13. Morning All, some patchy cloud, but the temperatures have dropped to the current overnight low of 0.3°C at: 02:32, whilst creeping up slightly to 1.1°C . A light breeze in from the N, so the temperature may drop before sun up..
  14. Well 2.4mm for the day, that's 50% of last months total, so looking good to break the monthly total...
  15. How do you manage that? We've had SOME rain but nothing more than 20-30mins light rain! BUT, we begin a new month and we begin the rainfall measure so, fingers crossed we will beat last month, currently 1.8 mm.. The webcam does show nicely you being plastered !
  16. The rain collection unit will be home to spiders as the rain has been lacking, at least some chance from Monday to beat the April total!
  17. Morning All, after another frosty night with a low of -1.7°C at: 04:42, currently 9.1°C. A nice convergence zone setup to my south as the wind direction shows, with the showers along the zone line The beachcam shot shows nicely where the showers are @Mapantz's webcam also shows the convergence zone nicely today as it looks to that direction
  18. Is that not typical as the month ends so it rains! A meagre 0.6.mm of rainfall to top the month off at 5.4 mm... @Mapantz you got lucky then!
