  1. Saw this earlier. Doesn't make a good reading to say the least for cold weather enthusiasts, does it?! We will see......
  2. Excellent photos there. Lets hope to see plenty more of the white stuff over the coming months!
  3. Excellent pictures, Rusty. Some impressive waves there!
  4. I remember the south and south west having a snowfall on the 18th December 1999. I believe the snow was 4 inches deep in places, although nothing like that in my area. It stuck around for a couple of days. This was certainly the only snow I saw during Winter 1999/00!
  5. I think that Winter 1991/92 was one of those rare ones where I didn't see a single flake of snow. Very disappointing, especially after the previous Winter! I also remember the first half of December being particularly cold and frosty with some ice days, but dry. I thought at the time that this was the start of a decent Winter only for it to turn very mild during the second half of the month, with January and February being totally non descript.
  6. Oh dear... Not looking good. Still early days mind.
  7. Seen very few of these so far, except there's one buzzing around the room as I type!
  8. That would be pretty much my prediction for their forecast too!
  9. OK, I am going to go for an August CET of 16.7C.
  10. I think that a CET of 16C is now the most likely outcome for this month.
  11. Great photos there. About time we had some decent Summer weather!
  12. Always an interesting read and will be interested to see what the September forecast points towards. At least the chances are that this Winter will be colder than the last which was a stinker! Although, March and April at least went some way to deliver the goods.
  13. Not a bad day today with a fair amount of sunshine and certainly none of those torrential downpours of yesterday! Only had a couple of moderate showers this afternoon, although it looks like we could see some more of those this evening.
  14. Sounds interesting. We'll soon see.
  15. An unsettled day today with heavy showers and sunny periods. Feels quite warm after a cool start. Was certainly lucky with the weather yesterday!
  16. Excellent photos there. Never seen anything like that before.
  17. My feeling is that July will be close to average temperature wise, but won't be giving a final estimate until next week.
  18. Ok, I'm going to go for 15.3C
  19. After overnight rain and a relatively cool start, today turned out to be very pleasant indeed. A nice afternoon for a long walk! :o
