This run looking better at 120 hours with the centre of the high over Iceland rather than the UK, does anyone know what time the ensembles are coming out? 18z ensembles were superb with most showing an easterly as the favourite outcome

HUH, moderate snow here for past hour and a half, slight covering and starting to get heavier, i checked bbc yesterday and there was no forecast of this, anyone know if this will turn bk to rain as there is plenty more precip heading my way
-
No probem I wish it weren't so showery though. Obviously, the upper temps and Dew points etc.
must be ok, but we're seriously lacking the precipitation.
Tomorrow evening is looking very good though, so I'm not too concerned about tonight.
Yes Brian i have a good feeling about tomorow night although sometimes york can be very marginal with frontal snow but as the snow falls in the evning temps should be cold enough for snow, gonna go back to the Wolds on Monday it should be stunning as there already plenty of snow up there
-
Just been sledging up on the Yorkshire wolds where there have been snow showers continuing throughout the afternoon, York has no snow yet 20 mins down the road there are huge drifts and 6 inches on the ground yet to be thawed, quite an amazing contast, anyone who lives nearby i suggest you take a trip there. Well worth it :o

Back by wednesday evening mate, good to you all with your snow and enjoy whilst u can, take care
-
have around 5-6cm on top of my car, on and off showers all thru the night with another band of snow heading my way, at 6am i then leave to make my way to near Pitlcohry in Scotland, let the fun begin :o
-
only aslight covering here in york, we need a more prolonged shower to get any beta covering than we have now
-
Not at sea level in York you realise, next to the former golfballs at Fylindales, now a sinister triangle. That will be the snowiest place. Finally with the axe of Heartbeat, we can take back Goathland, Grosmont and Whitby from the grey brigade of Shearings Coaches! Hurrah! (I am from that area originally).
yea i know, but the north york moors are right on my door step so a trip up there would be no problem
-
North York Moors, around a foot by the end of tuesday.
BLIMEY! hope so

-
on and off snow showers for the past hour now and looks set to continue for the rest of today
-
Great year in my opinion, poor start with a mild winter but will always remberer the thunderstorms and floods of late june early july, great autumn much more typical with everything on schedule unlike recent years, nice start to winter with more frosts that last winter in total
-
I have no particular favorite type, my ideal weather is when there is something notable about it, for example you walk outside and you think to yourself, wow its cold, windy, hot, raining hard etc etc. The weather is most interesting to me when theres something to admire.

If people dont agree with others posts i think there is no need to reply as it just causes arguments, everyone is entitled to have there own say, i come on here to look at good discusision not childish bickering about whos right and whos wrong.
