  1. Pub run gives us 3 days of snow next week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!. It will be gone in the morning.
  2. Possibly Pom. Looks similar to last time which was a disappointment here.
  3. Chesil View Just bear in mind like the last cold snap, the models are unlikely to pick up short waves in the flow that will bring unwanted mild sectors.
  4. @SLEETY No reason to be dis We shouldn't be expecting until mid February anyway, that's still 17 days away, so I'm personally not expecting to see decent model output until at least this time next week.
  5. @Dennis I love these signals and I would say they are great for cold and snow for you. For these islands that make up only 0.05% of the surface of the earth, the cold air can quite easily slip into the Atlantic or through Scandinavia and miss us completely.
  6. @northwestsnow I think the gurus aren't expecting any changes until mid February at least which is pretty much outside the model range. Of course we can expect unknown unknown to topple the positive teleconnections, but that is par for the course.
  7. @Metwatch just look to the Roaring Forties in the Southern Hemisphere for the answer to that. Round and round they go with no deflections due to land masses.
  8. Yup. Winter is over it would appear with the vast majority not seeing a flake or if they did only fleeting. The expansion of the Hadley cells overiding and favourable teleconnections with snow and ice now increasingly a Scottish only affair
  9. Phoned a roofer at 8am to fix tiles, said he would be out today. Still waiting. Weather forecast tomorrow is not good.
  10. Did we really get Greenland blocking last week? Maybe for a day, possibly two, I would hardly call it sustained. As for next month, the Met Office remain confident so they maybe have access to something we don't.
  11. Nearly every house in my street has been damaged. Missing tiles, trees down, pots smashed a plenty.
  12. None of those three charts show a Bartlett. Only the first two are zonal.
  13. What a night, have barely slept. Bound to be carnage across the Island.
  14. This storm is a monster. Really feels like the windows are going to come in.
  15. Massive power outages across Northern Ireland. It is wild here.
