  1. I must say the thought of snow doesnt interest me as much it has in previous years despite my username lol. Ill look forward to it if it comes but its still some way away and a lot of folks are getting way ahead of themselves imo. This is an easterly we are talking about and could quite easily fail. Hate to put the jeepers on it but we have been here before.

Id much rather think about those early warm sunny days on the cornish coast. :D

  2. more than a few showers, wettest day of the autumn season I would say today, not rain all day mind you, still been lucky really though overall

Its NOT AUTUMN!!! This is actually typical Winter fayre, its just most have become obscured of what winter is going by the last few years.

I do find your posts confusing sometimes! Autumn ended six weeks ago Posted Image

With the honorable exception of the Derbyshire crew, it says something about this winter so far that one of our regular posters - Blizzy - has seen more snow down in Cornwall than we have here!

I should add im still in Stourbridge and the snow was seen here on the 24th. It was because we came under a very intense shower which dragged the cold air down enough to see snow. Saying that, west Cornwall saw snow just last Saturday! :)

  3. V latest UKMO assessment for 10-15d period notes "some signal for increased perturbations in upper pattern..." but generally maintaining the mobile theme. So, in keeping with EC32 alongside other products.

Hi Ian, apologies if this has already been mentioned, but is there still a risk of some wintriness on Saturday? A few other models such as the NASA GEOS5 for example seems to suggest something.

  4. Cornwall really looks like taking a battering. I know parts around Commercial Road in Penryn and possibly areas around the Princes of Wales Pier in Falmouth may particular see flooding issues.

If you live on the west coast get down to the beach at high tide because you'll likely not see it as high for a long time, it will probably be over the small Whitehaven pier something I've never witnessed and there'll be probably some more structural damage and the town centre might even flood.

That goes against all the important safety advice. Too many lives have been lost this way recently. Posted Image
