  1. Great stuff Guys. Good to see you all. I really enjoyed that programme. Hopefully we will see something like that next year!
  2. Many Thanks Paul, looking forward to it, !
  3. Hi Paul, That would be great. Please count me in and I think my Girlfriend wants to come as well! I will bring some food along too , burgers etc if you want! Be good to catch up with you good Guys [and Gals]. Hopefully weather will be perfect, followed closely by some severe thunderstorms Best Wishes Ian.
  4. Well the temperature in the last hour has peaked at the Vale Of Evesham Weather Station [VOEWS] a short time ago at 27.6c 81 f making it the warmest day this year, but the heat is tamed by very low humidities currently 33% RH with a temperature of still 27.1c@ 17.50. Looks as though its gonna be the last of the hot days for at least a while ,judging by the current model output, and the first of that change can be seen from the latest visible sat and those pictures from my home in Worcestershire, Cirrus from that weak cold front, although it does look like its producing a few heavy showers over the Pennines!
  5. Great show Guys, enjoyed all your pics, reports and the live streaming video. Cant wait to join you in about 47 weeks and counting! Safe journey home to all. Best Wishes to all.....IAN.
  6. Fantastic! The legend is back.! Good to see Mike doing what he does best. A "BIG" Jewel in the crown for Netweather, making it way ahead of any other weather website. Looking forward to Mikes experience and forecasting ,every week, so refreshing from" most" tv weather forecasters. Good to see you again Mike and well done Paul for all your hard work ,getting everything up togeather.

  9. Lovely pics guys. I like yours pics of the funnels over that landscape Nathan. Very Atmospheric! Just shows you even though the weather pattern is very quiet over there you still can get some half decent storms to photo. Sod it, Im jealous!  Best Wishes Y,all IAN.

  13. Well done Ian. Cant believe you ate that much steak! Perhaps no more steak for a day or two!! Best Wishes IAN.
  14. Thanks to all for your kind comments......hoping to see a lot more photogenic skies in the near future!
  15. Just thought I would share a few photos what I took on the way to work this morning, as I try always to remember to carry my camera with me on convective days. This storm was moving East towards the Cotswolds just to the south of Evesham. We have virtually no interesting weather or skyscapes this year [so far] and it made a change to see some action in the sky..... [attac hment=82179:PICT1601.jpg]
  16. A "bbq Summer" imho is a very safe prediction, because lets face it us Brits can, and often bbq in all kinds of weather including rain! I remember the night before the chaos of the 2007 floods we were having a bbq and then we had a thunderstorm half way through ,[not as I mind as I love thunderstorms!] and of course it dampened things down a bit! :winky: In this country we have to live with the world famous unpredictableness of our weather so we do what ,we do, generally and very well, regardless of the weather [except in extreme circumstances , which we rarely get !] So that forecast to me does not mean sun, sun, sun, just like it does not mean rain, rain, rain...... It means different things to different people, the met office forecast is very vague and If youre expecting "hot bbq" weather all of the time throughout the Summer I think youre gonna be very dissapointed. Its another media spin/hype/ sensationalism. which nowadays is all to common and tiresome. :o The forecast for Summer 2008 by the metoffice, well lets says in fairness was[wide of the mark] as put up by one of the earlier posters, so lets just try to enjoy what the British Summer will bring..whatever weather!!! B)
  17. April did not live up to its usual title....just done the calculations for the Vale Of Evesham Weather Station [VOEWS] and the the most obvious fact to come out of this month was its benign weather and once again above average temperature both day and night.... Average day temp....12.5c recorded 15.6c Average night temp.....4.4c recorded 5.6c 17 dry days and 13 wet days where the recorded rainfall came to the average monthly figure of 51.9mms. Highest wind gust...30 mph southerly on April 8th Highest barometer reading....1026mbs Lowest barometer reading....1003.1mbs Lowest temperature...minus 1.1c Highest temperature....19.1c <_< Overall, an "uninteresting" month weatherwise ,but some impressive above average temperatures!!
  18. WOW....! Lightning dont come much better than that! ....! you lucky people. ....youre not missing anything here! Best Wishes to all IAN.
  19. Stunning lightning photos well done guys!
  20. Is it Stuart Squires from last year Paul??
  21. Glad you guys have had a safe journey and an early start to the chase. Streaming video seems to be working very well, looks like youre gonna be busy today looking forward to following the action! Best Wishes IAN.
  22. Here we go....another Hollywood blockbuster!!
  23. Im here down in beautiful mid wales in a ancient town called Rhayader. Its surrounded by hills and mountains oh yeah and some lakes as well and watered by the beautiful river Wye! Its famous for its dams known as the Elan Valley. Anyway back to the weather and it been a glorious day here ,a coldish wind but increasing amounts of sunshine. A cold night here ,followed by a sunny day on Sunday
  24. A nice day in the Vale of Evesham, we are caught in between the brighter fresher west and that drizzly ,mizzly front to the east! Just an hour or two ago it was quite clearly seen by the Satellite visible photograph the "marked difference just to the east and west of that front, and the latest fax chart goes to show where that front is and also ive taken some photos which goes to prove also from the ground that huge difference between sun and cloud along that backedge of that dying front........Here you are! 25. Yes ,watched "countryfile" last night at its new time which does seem "unusual "seeing as it been brought to our tv screens late morning rather than early evening for more than 20 years! Its a programme ive followed since it began back in 1988, and really enjoyed its output and of course the weather forecast! Times have changed ,and of course the reason its been moved to a different time..... but I do feel "sadly" that it is the start of the end for Countryfile, with many ,many programmes about the same thing on our now multichannel tv world...and who needs a weekly forecast when there is news 24 and of course the internet with the best "WEATHER" information on the Planet found on "NETWEATHER" 24/7.
