  1. nobble snow symbols , May as well believe the Martians are landing on Blackpool tower…
  2. These precip charts are shockingly incorrect more often than not . It supposed to be dry at my location at this time , but as often the case it’s pouring with rain . It seems to me that all computer output regarding weather forecasts including rainfall has hit an all time low as regards reliability.
  3. Well I've seen about five flakes of wet snow this winter so far, And Spring starts on Friday
  4. Well let's hope the models are singing the right tune........☺
  5. WYorksWeather will do just message me plz..?!
  6. Evening All. Anyone , interested in climate change data from the archives over 100 years ago please let let me know. Thanks. ☺
  7. At least day ten from both ecm and gfs show something drier from the east .....☺
  8. 2006 IMO was best here if you like heat and thunderstorms. 2018 was close 2nd, but all in all both summers at 12 years apart were both memorable summers, against the backdrop of many more non- memorable summers, before and since then...!☺
  9. Still ,looking for a dry period. Ecm ,slows down the relentless assult of the Atlantic by day ten, gfs has been showing it ,but todays output as changed. Nevertheless, something drier and hopefully warmer on the horizon as we step into Spring in a few days time....☺
  10. At day ten, yes day ten, gfs and ecm singing the same tune ...! Perhaps a long dry spell coming up...
  11. Markus03 very unusual for the Alps back between 1940/60 to have a record lack of snow ……
  12. cheese that’s your opinion, it doesn’t make it everyone else’s. I gave you a statistic and they were saying back then the same as you are saying now. Anyway enough of that debate
  13. WYorksWeather with those synoptics back then, the temperature would of passed 20c/68f . It's very plausible given the right conditions. ...☺
  14. cheese Rubbish. If you look at the Snowless Winters for instance ,the Alps had this scenario statisticaly between 1940 and 1960, perhaps not completely snow less ,but during those years low snow fall for this area. . Nothing new with fluctuations in snowfall over the decades and centuries. ☺
  15. WYorksWeather well if the conditions had been just right and hadn't been cloudy it would have easily been a record warm day ....with temperatures above 20 c !☺
  16. I dare say that if that happened today ,they would blame climate change for it !
  17. Well not according to the ecm 00z and gfs 00z. But this feature is likely to go south rather than north, but depends how it deepens ,if it deepens more will go north ,less so and it stays south. ....
  18. I mentioned last week ,as the pattern change takes place ,Iberia will see Biblical rainfall during March and April, nothing to do with teleconections, but I have been told in confidence! Watch this space...?
  19. Given we are on the doorstep of March ,it will be just typical that when we want Spring and warmer weather to come ,these synoptics charts will probably verify even that far out!
  20. Must admit ,I don't mind a few chup sausages.......
  21. Indeed Tilly. Looks like the Atlantic is by and large the winner, although winds swinging into a more northwesterly,so hills and mountains seeing some wintry stuff especially northern hills....Plain rain for others although southeast Britain should see the lions share of any dry weather. Yesterdays models looked more cyclonic than they did today ,so still plenty of umph in the jet, but it does look like Winter this year will go even without a wimper !
