Light northeasterly winds becoming variable later. Freezing level 800 m falling to 400 or 500 m through the day. Saturday Mainly dry but cloudy to start with light winds. Winds soon strengthening bringing upland gales and wintry showers at times. Snow later in the afternoon with strong winds and blizzards.
