Agreed - cant even be bothered looking into the post mortem of it - rain rain rain and rain cold rain at that.
I love Lancashire but I am looking forward to our move to Windermere in about 4 years time - Kirkstone here we come.
Not holding out for too much out of this tonight.Temps not cold enough. Kendal tomorrow might see some ppn on the tops. Will keep an eye on a lamppost or two though.Whats the latest on the battleground situation?

Yes they do go camping - every credit.
Knowledge and respect of the hills is everything
Please expand on your statement regarding our mountains are the most dangerous in Europe!
Scafell Pike is difficult to navigate in mist let alone in a blzzard due to its boulder strewn nature with no discernable paths to follow.
Piers Gill is a hazard Broad Stand best left alone Lords Rake has a chocstone ready to drop anytime - all in all a challenging environment - the favourite mistake is descending into Eskdale in error.
Here you go.....

Reduced Bus Service though.
Not "done" N Wales much - Tryfan N Ridge was the last time out a few years back - interesting....
Wouldn't call Windermere - Ambleside - Keswick extreme mountainous at all....!
Once had Sharp Edge and Halls Fell ridge on Blencathra pencilled in for a winter round - these weren't in condition at all - drove 15 miles to the SW Bowfell and the Crinkles got a pasting - all good fun - a good day.
SP - you ought to get out more often.
That Winderbeer forecast looks like sleet anyway.

Cannot see why you have predicted (and even narrowed down) snow down to the "last third" of Jan - this time last week we were staring down the barrell at 90mph winds - we got snow - which you and more or less everyone else on here and the Meto didnt forecast- model watching is absolute codswallop.
