  1. I share your frustration I really do, this is exactly the reason I hate summer we never get the storms in our neck of the woods. Roll on Autumn & Winter at least we get our fair share of snowfall.

Yes I share your frustration too here in Warwickshire, here also we get our fair share of snowfall, usually we miss the worst of the snow but even the worst is still miles better than thunderstorms here, yes getting tired of summer now its nice for a month or two but then I start to long for autumn/winter, also until late August everything is so quiet, can't wait for the football season and entertainment to pick up, bored to death of the royal baby too :D

  2. Just wait till Tuesday when the sun and summer is back out! Yes there will be some Telford cloud but on the whole, all very respectable! Best dry spells since 2006 in summer imo!

Very easily pleased I see, with the azores high sitting stubbornly to our southwest and letting weak fronts roll over the top once we pull in the warmer uppers Wednesday onwards it will cloud over and just be awful like a few days last week were with sunshine figures worse than a December's day, haven't seen so much hype over a nondescript spell ever, if the midweek onwards setup was December the razors would be out.

  3. Yawn should of known the promise of sunny spells and 20c was to much for the Telford storm/cloud/any exciting weather shield to take, bland and dull as usual.

Yes shocking forecast by the UKMO/BBC, hardly any rain at all this week here, last two days have been comically bad by them with no thunderstorms whatsoever just dull and humid, my signature lives on in Warwickshire.

Another day another chapter, fresh start, don't look back in anger Posted Image

Sunny intervals and respectable temps - if the weather went to plan day in day out as per forecast, would it still be as interesting Posted Image

LOL suppose would depend what was on offer...

How you get on with your X-ray telescope triple, see any bright moon through all that thick fog/low cloud :D

Very foggy in the countryside in Warwickshire this morning, up on the Edge Hill escarpment it was like a November morning.

  4. It's not just eastern areas that have been affected by the N.Sea cloud in the last few days.here in the heart of the Midlands we have had limited sunshine again today and feeling quite cool with the cloud only now breaking.A couple of days at the end of last week were predominately grey and chilly feeling too.

Anyway the Atlantic influence is now almost here so the cloud now will come from the west instead this week but hopefully with some sunny interludes and warmer feeling air in the mix it wont be too bad here.

For others further west and north possibly not so good though.

Well in mid/south Warwickshire which is a good bulk of Warwickshire after last Wednesday it has been sunny and warm almost every day, Monday the cloud was more stubborn but still it broke by about 6 pm in south Warwickshire and it was very pleasant indeed in the sun, not sure whats going on in the Nuneaton area but it sure doesn't sum up Warwickshire's weather since last Wednesday.

The atlantic will bring stronger winds and bands of rain so I wouldn't exactly call that an improvement though with cooler atlantic RPM air some sunshine is likely between rain bands.

  5. Enjoy the good weather we currently have, in my view the conditions at present are my ideal summer weather, no wind, no rain, lots of sunshine but not too warm with wonderful light

Yep perfect summer weather Damien, would lock this pattern in all summer if I could, not sure why summer blizzard thinks its too warm, you can get warmer more humid spells than this in June.

I see lots of people out walking after 9 pm in shorts so its warm enough for them, it seems just a few are moaning and we know who they are :)

  6. Whaaaat???? Did you not see any of the white stuff during March?

I was thinking the other day about which have been the most extraordinary months of weather since I started following Netweather back in 2005 (I lurked for years). I ended up deciding upon March 2013, a truly astonishing month IMO.

Yeah what a month, most incredible month for a long time, a March we will most likely not see again in our lifetimes, remember walking in the Northamptonshire Uplands and seeing lying snow on April 4th with bitterly cold NE'ly winds and temps near 0C by day, colder than most mid winter days, if people don't find just the deviation from CET interesting I think they should give up this weather watching lark.
