  1. Just catching the very slight edge of that as I type, sat in the garden, Few drops on the laptop,One lonely flash so far.
  2. Blimey, you've had enough excitement. Go and have a lie down. Nothing here. Bit of sun, bit of fluffy cloud. Just about to go in, as the breeze has picked up.

29/07/13 - Salisbury Cathedral in there somewhere.
  5. This was the first one that passed north of Salisbury at around 5 o'clock. I was walking away from it and wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't rumbling.
  6. I didn't see/hear anything electrical in it as passed over. V heavy rain though. Here it is to the north, over Salisbury.
  7. Can't see anything in this afternoon's ouput, but then yesterday evening's excitement wasn't forecast. On the flip side today was supposed to be accompanied by four scary men on horseback, but apart from a line of heavy showers first thing, that was a bust.I've taken to just keeping an eye on the sky.
  8. Decent bit of action here. Not massive, but not bad. Was a bit shocked when I saw that radar twenty minutes ago.

    22/07/13 - Post storm.
  10. Just posted this in the conv thread. Here's Salisbury 10 mins ago. Plenty of thunder/lightning in that. There's more action West Wellow way to the south east and it's just started raining here.
  11. This is the activity over Salisbury. There's now another cell rumbling away to the south west, over the New Forest.
  12. The first little cell only pepped up as it passed me. It's over Salisbury now giving decent deep rumbles ever two minutes, or so. I've just lit the bbq, so it's only a matter of time now until the end of the world.
  13. I wouldn't bother butler_son. I can see it from here. It doesn't look that exciting yet. Edit - Ha. Just as I post that, we get the first big rumble from it.
  14. This is looking west just south of Salisbury. Just missed me.
  15. I can see it now Andy. Strikes have been visible for the past 20 mins or so.
  16. Yep, can confirm that. Sat in the garden looking SSW. Plenty of activity in there. I reckon it's picking up.
  17. After a cloudy, cooler start, the first breaks in the cloud are just appearing now. Here's to another corker.
  18. Thanks both. Never knew young starlings were a dull grey. Always thought they were starling coloured. Now thinking the birds in the field are something else. Will try to get some snaps.
  19. Can anybody tell me what these are? I've seen them in the fields over the last week, but last evening they were flying around the gardens. They behave like starlings, flying around in small flocks. Their call is more of a trill.
