  1. Any chance you could knock another one up for the MOD thread? Just drop it in and listen for the I can't help you with a rhyme for TEITS though.
  2. Hi Chris, They were shifted into the Model Mayhem thread by the looks of it.
  3. The GFS 12z suggests we're in with a shout. The cold spell that keeps on giving.
  4. Yep, rain here now too. Edit - And back to moderate snow/moderate flakes.
  5. Quick one for those NNW of Salisbury. The echoes on the radar are falling as sleet down here, so you might see a bit further North. Edit - It's now snow.
  6. Not according to the earlier forecasts on the beeb. They had a distinct gap over South Wilts, which has become apparent in the last couple of hours. It eventually all slides west, snow to the north of Salisbury, rain/sleet mix to the south.
  7. OH just drove back across the New Forest, she says the snowline is north of the M27 at the moment.
  8. It is. It's heavy here already. Up until now the existing snow has been melting faster than it's been settling, due to the temperature. Whoever gets this later on (Somerset?) is going to have some fun and games.
  9. South Wilts 5 minutes ago. Still coming down steadily. Keep the faith people.
  10. It's definitely warming up in Southampton. At St Mary's, they've all got their shorts on.
  11. Don't know about weather stations. Bit rich for me. I find http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ useful for current conditions.
  12. Could do. The models are currently suggesting we'll return to a more zonal period of weather after the weekend and this is reflected in the automated temps that you're seeing. Still plenty of time for a change. A week's a long time on Netweather.
  13. Yeah Karlos. Leave Alexis alone you big bully. Look it's going to be a nowcast and they can't just stand there and shrug their shoulders.
  14. I'm not sure where this idea comes from. If it comes from PC, without independent verification, it's worth the square root of b*gger all, I'm afraid. Anyway, here's the rebuttal from the left http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2013/jan/21/boris-johnson-snow-climate-change?CMP=twt_gu
  15. Are you sure about that? I thought it was 85%? Either way, can we see some proof please? I suspect this is nonsense, but again proof would be gladly accepted. Sigh... BFTP Without wishing to speak out of turn, you're without doubt a bright chap, so surely you can see through the bluster? With the noise that's being made by PC and his followers at moment it strikes me that he's won the lottery rather than this being a day to day occurence. As an example, the 12-16th forecast was bobbins, as was the late december forecast*. Can't have it both ways I'm afraid. * by no means exclusive, but I can't be bothered to drag out the archives. If PC won't, why should I?
  16. Light snow here now as the band slowly progresses west. Who fancies a walk to the pub at lunchtime?
  17. Found this poor little fella outside by the car yesterday.
  18. Mother dearest saying it's snowing in Fawley on the South Coast.
  19. The NAE suggests you might see some if you get up early tomorrow morning. It's borderline, as ever in your part of the world though. Good luck.
