  1. The NAE suggests you might see some if you get up early tomorrow morning. It's borderline, as ever in your part of the world though. Good luck.
  2. Awesome days sledging down the hill in my sig (Clearbury Ring) with friends and their kids. It's only 140 metres ASL, but the South East side must have had a good 6 inches up there. Totally undisturbed as nobody else can be bothered to walk up there. Sadly no photos, as we were all going too fast.
  3. AJ & GTLTW Got to go out soon and recover the mrs from her snow day drinking. There's a real danger I might fail and get dragged into it. If Ian F pops in later can you pass on a big thank you on our behalf, especially from those of us who were on here last night. While we were being silly, he kept posting updates to keep us all reassured. He doesn't have to come in here to placate us, but he's always clear, always consise and although this might only be the start we ought to get a thanks in early. Cheers John
  4. Oh go on then dear. What the heck... Stick it on for an hour.
  5. Lunchtime walk lead to a snowball fight with village kids. One crying nine year old surely means I win. Is that how it works?
  6. Agreed. Pick it up in the Netweather Prem thread --> http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74154-the-premier-league/page__st__440#entry2528703
  7. For those of you to the east of Salisbury, the snow we have currently is still pretty heavy. The good times continue to roll.
  8. Vanessa, Vicky, Beccy and Marie do not want to know this morning. They won't come out. The netting that keeps them out of the garden has collapsed under the weight of the snow too. Happy days.
  9. Well my 7am inch is now about 3. Checklist completed before 8:30am. - Bacon and Egg bap - Done - Snowball fight with kids next door - Done - Snowy house snaps taken for the GF to put on facebook (and me to put on here) - Done Can't go sledging until tomorrow, as working at home means I can get to work. Rubbish.
  10. Approx 1 inch so far, with the heavier stuff just about to hit by the looks of it. Happy with that.
  11. This is terrible, I went to bed an hour ago and can't sleep. I feel like a fat kid waiting for Gregg's to open.
  12. Pretty much the same give or take a few mm. Blimey is that the time. Beauty sleep calling. See you on the other side.
  13. Something to do with a car. Old Speckled 'un or similar. Can't remember exactly. Dew points, sleeting, NAE, etc.
  14. Saw that tonight on offer. Went for Golden Hen instead. Still raining.
  15. Could have been worse. You could have sat there all weekend and missed the whole lot.
  16. Can I suggest you read Stormmad26's post above. We're 6 hours away from the excitement and his link will explain why. I'm much further inland than you and it's now raining again. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference.
  17. jy. Just did your drive back down the A338 from Salisbury on the way back from panic buying. Went up by the hospital and down into Nunton. Moderate wet snow up there, but more sleety on the main road approaching The Stag. Bit surprised really, as it's not that far between the two.
  18. That was funny though. Interviewer : When did you start? Lady : Drinking? Interviewer : No, the fitness.
  19. Not raining here jy. It's not doing anything. Next village up from Downton.
  20. The log man called earlier to book Wednesday in for our next delivery. However, judging by the UKMO output, I reckon I'm going to struggle to get wood at any point late next week.
  21. Agreed. I've seen this on a few runs. The exposed area between the M27 and Godshill, along Roger Penny Way, often do better than us due to that extra bit of elavation. QS, are you still convalescing? We can arrange for shipment of soup, lemsip and man-size tissues, if it'll assist with the recovery in time for tomorrow.
