  1. Have realised that I have totally wasted my time model watching this past week. Was hoping for a fine day on Saturday in the Lake District, it's pouring with rain up there tonight - Netweather shows no rain at all, it's wrong. I will expect a wet day now, if the sun shines it will be a bonus!
  2. Not happy with the models slowly but surely downgrading Saturdays weather in the Lake District. Every run sees a gradual downgrading in conditions - all models seem to be in agreement with this too. Important wedding in Windermere on Saturday!!
  3. Seems like Sussex got the best of this little cell, it's just downgrading to showers as it travels NE - strange considering the heat. Anyone got any idea why this is?
  4. Big blobs of rain here, dark skies - nothing on the radar though - strange. Correction - radar now showing a shower, things ARE moving fast LOL
  5. Looks like this storm will track to the East of Cambridge - our only hope West of Cambridge is that the heat expands the storms, like a mushroom as they move into EA. Looks like the storm is expanding sideways, but the thunder activity seems to be dying out - which is strange considering the heat?
  6. Advancing well now, and intensifying! Up to St Neots now I recon.
  7. This is moving North very quickly, but it seems to be weaking quickly too. The brighter colours are becoming less and less with each 15 minute interval on the radar. It won't be long before it gets here tho.
  8. I've been watching this storm for an hour or so now! Will it make it up to Cambridgeshire, or will it die out as forcast?
  9. Still snowing here in St Ives Dave, so yes, not over yet with more coming in from the Wash area. Enjoyed your analysis of this event - I also enjoyed the other thread last night - you really had them going, and tonight, have been proven spot on! Getting too close to freezing here for my liking, Temp -0.1 and rising Dewpoint also up to -2.0. I thought Temps would fall as time went on? Anyone else finding this?
  10. Prob another hour or 2 where you are - snow is now starting to clear away West
  11. Like you I'm very happy with tonights offering, it's turned out very well for us here after last nights forcasts. Maybe we will see some shower activity overnight from the Wash, although down here in the Huntindon area the ppn is gone by the time it gets to us.
  12. Looks like the ppn in the North Sea, and the Wash is breaking up fast - is this front weakening now?
  13. Moderate snowfall now in St Ives Temp -0.4C and falling Dewpoint -4.64 with a good covering on top of saturday nights snow. TEITS is right, we have had much more snow here now than we did the whole of last winter!
  14. Moderate snow now in St Ives Cambs. Temp -0.4C Dewpoint -4.73. TEITS was spot on last night, he beat the pro's. The front looks like it has completely split in two - is the Western section all rain?
  15. Starting to thicken up here nicely, very much a lampost watching evening! I noticed the BBC have the snow moving away from us before midnight, clearing into Wales tomorrow. As seen exlusively on BBC East it is snowing nicely in Godmanchester now!
  16. Yes TEITS I noticed the mayhem on the other thread last night  - but I feel you are about to be proved right! That precip on the radar is slipping ever more South towards us, at the moment I can't see how that will end up in the Birmingham area tonight.
  17. Totally agree - I have alot of family in Bristol, they missed out too. Good luck.
  18. Interesting to note that all of these predictions of the snow being further East are from people living in more E/SE Regions
