  1. Thanks! But bear in mind that I am no more than an innocent bystander who has absolutely nothing whatsoever to gain. And I'm not moaning about people who disagree with me at all, just the ones 'involved' who will clearly go to any length to perpetuate the sham. The 'agenda' of the proponents is writ large for all to see. I'd like to have a look at the lifestyles and 'green' ways of the staunchest AGW supporters, for a start. Or are they above and beyond all that? You want hypocrisy,I'll give you hypocrisy! Boy,I can see that can of worms shying away from the tin opener right now! I can't wait 'til we're huddled around a log fire, eating gruel and listening to Big Al's nightly gee-up on the wind-up radio telling us to keep up the good fight against global warming whilst the snow is piled up to the window sills.
  2. And what's the likelihood of that from 'these people'? No,I'll stick to my garbage comment if it's all the same to you, thanks.
  3. I'm not in the least bit surprised... that they are saying it. Utter garbage,of course.
  4. It's not true, because that level of accuracy is impossible. Dare say it's thereabouts, though! 'Tackling climate change' is not,and never has been about,er,tackling climate change. Sooner or later everyone is going to come to realise (or it will have to be acknowledged by the perpetrators of the sham) of that simple fact. Does anyone seriously believe that if our our CO2 emissions were totally eradicated right now and for good, that there'd be a climatic response at any point hence - never mind by a tiny fraction of what is naturally present, which is only a tiny, tiny fraction of the total atmospheric composition? And another thing...! Why does AGW propaganda on teevee show pictures of power stations with water vapour coming out of cooling towers instead of smoke coming out of chimneys? Do they hope the impressive clouds of 'steam' will have a bigger visual impact on the thick, who assume it is actually CO2 which is being emitted in such visually large amounts? Whatever does the trick,I suppose.
  5. I spent four weeks in a coma when a vital organ failed. It got to the stage where all the doctors gave up any hope of recovery and advised the missus and kid to prepare their goodbyes. Thankfully, they were wrong. Just offering a different analogy...
  6. Climate change/global warming/green this and green that - it's an industry upon which many livelihoods, policies, reputations etc now rest. As with any business under threat it has to be defended when under attack. They are going to lose this one. Y'know what's occurred to me of late in these threads? Our old pal CO2,the big bad bogeyman that threatens apocalypse,is hardly mentioned these days compared to how it used to be. Now we just have to 'act' (???) and cataclysm will be averted all those years down the line. Quite why anyone entertains any of it to any degree is frankly beyond my ken. Fun to observe though,in a perverse kinda way.
  7. Absolutely, and TWS has come to the wrong conclusion again in assessing the mindset of a 'denier'. Is there really any need to spend lawd knows how many billions to say that there's a possibilty/risk/whatever that in X many years the global temp might rise (or fall) by so many insignificant degrees? Computers -pah! Only good for NW,youtube, climate change protagonists and chess, which I recently defeated at level 10 after 3 years trying - yeehah!
  8. That's...that's... incredible!!! Even more incredible is the fact that even ten, twenty,a million of these babies would be useless for predicting climate years down the line, especially given the totally inadequate diet they are allegedly fed. What a shocking, scandalous waste of money that me,you, and most other good folk have toiled for. I'm as mad as a box of frogs,I am,and sick to death of the whole AGW sham. Hey BLAST,going down!
  9. http://www.vancouver...4959/story.html With particular emphasis on the last paragraph... Meanwhile, let's all bury our differences,go for a pint and pick up where we left off in 20 years .
  10. I'm still looking for evidence that Agw ever happened, let alone is happening. All I've found is reasons/excuses for it to exist. Glad you're fit again P3 ( but anticipating all the grief you've got in store for us deniers)!
  11. http://www.ijis.iarc...aice_extent.htm Although in it's infancy, there's only one trend in evidence here, and it ain't what the AGW types and the media would have the great unwashed believe. And look at the rate of recovery over the last two years compared to it's stately decline. As you point out dm,who can say how long the current trend will persist for? But if I was a betting man and the bookies offered odds on such matters,I know which scenario/outcome I'd be putting my shirt on! 'AGW' continues to hang on by the skin of it's teeth... soon be game over.
  12. I know Ice,I know. Been saying it all along, pay attention now! They do see it methinks, but have good reason to pretend otherwise. Will AGW implode spectacularly,or wither like a flower on a stalk and disappear quietly into the night? http://www.nti.org/d...an/icebrkrs.htm More on Russian nuke icebreakers. They know they're gonna need them (they knew years back, even as the recent decline accelerated!),and how.
  13. Where there's a will, there's a way.... Ah,the media - when they wise up to the moribund sun, rising ice extents, flatlining or declining temps etc etc,get ready for Ice Age II. Sorry,OT again.
  14. There you go,then. Can we put all this AGW nonsense to bed, now? Suppose not,it's all in the mythical 'pipeline'.
  15. Cherry-picking time periods to suit the anti AGW 'agenda' is a bit rich,to put it very mildly. And it doesn't stop at the beginning of 2009,it stops at the end of April 2009. Sure the globe has warmed during the last seven months - much of that time's been the Northern summer! Bet it cools down again over the next seven or so,curiously enough. Tell it how it is,Joe. Look forward to seeing the vid on the 10 'o clock news right after the non-story (which the AGW mob predictably jumped upon to flesh out their fantasies) that prompted his response.... Uh oh. ( I appreciate that you addressed that bit,TWS!).
  16. That's right. Regardless of what some AGW adherants claim to the contrary, they are waiting for any 'evidence' which they could construe as backing up their beliefs/theories/whatever. Ah well, there's always next year... not.
  17. The other side of the MSM,showing that not all of them have gone quite insane http://www.telegraph...pery-stuff.html There'll be the usual predictable attacks on the author but hey... you know he's right.
  18. Didn't have to wait long,BB! http://www.guardian....ters-conference Does anyone know a word which means 'ridiculous',but a million times more so in order to describe this? I can smell, nay taste the desperation. LG - watching, waiting, knowing.
  19. But I'll be a frail old man by then! Hope whoever's running the shop has sorted out a satisfactory winter cold weather payment.....
  20. Well if you like your burgers dripping wet then yes, they were right. Still nowhere enough rain for me though - hate summer/barbies and everything about it.
  21. Yes,even this one,as I readily stated the other day. And it's nothing to do with one's conclusions re CO2/AGW etc. It's like saying that you can now smoke as many fags as you like because we've invented this fantastic new drug which negates all the risks - maybe. It most likely carries it's own, however. If you want to remove the risk, remove the culprit (imagined or otherwise) instead of trying to keep up with it. Or something like that....
  22. Horrendous. Just horrendous. Nowhere near enough cloud, rain and cool temps. Looks like that lot out west will miss us - again. So near yet so far,as usual. Wish summer with all it's attendant gunk would clear off ASAP and let autumn get on with it.... Moan, whinge etc etc.
  23. Ah but if we set a good enough example to the developing world, they'll be overcome by guilt and decide to stop their wicked ways. Or so I'm told. Yeah, right. We're stuck with the eco-warriors,I'm afraid - China won't give them any benefits. You'd think there'd be plenty of work for them at all those new power plants, though?
  24. What, you mean like this...? http://www.youtube.c...feature=related The CO2 is safer, not that it was ever a problem anyway.
