  1. A few snow grains on the ground this morning.
  2. Just a very few flakes today, and not as windy. Still cold in the wind, but sun nice enough.
  3. Stunning snow shower/blizzard while out with dogs, and we were at the top of the hill to get the full benefit! Dogs loved it, made them very innervated.
  4. According to the BBC forecast at lunchtime, the showers are fizzling this afternoon. However, looking at the radar, they look pretty good right now, and definitely no sign of fizzling.
  5. Getting some impressive show showers here now, and driven in the wind too — hopefully, we will stay in the line of showers from the Wash. Extremely cold outside.
  6. If you don't like/want rain and cool (which I don't), it's looking foul starting as early as this weekend! http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_London_ens.png http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Manchester_ens.png
  7. Few grains on the ground and sky starting to clear.
  8. You are not alone! I was about to post the same thing.
  9. Common newt outside the backdoor last night, and sounds of frogs in the pond. No sign of any spawn yet.
  10. On the MO thread, they are talking about snowmeggedon, and mega low temps, which hopefully will be better than April 4 last year!
  11. Rather dreary and damp, but probably better than tomorrow which is forecast to be wet. What does anyone think about our snow chances for next week? It's looking quite promising I think, and even the MetO are on board.
  12. Unexpectedly blue skies and sunny here too. Lovely!
  13. Even had a snow flurry or two as far west as here which is almost the Welsh/English border
  14. Fields at last drying out and dogs quite clean after their walk. actually saw a tractor on a field yesterday, and it had its lights on as it was working at night. I imagine the sowing and planting is well behind, loads of fields still have stubble.
  15. Snow flurries for just about anywhere. I wouldn't plan on getting the toboggan out.
  16. Where's the rain coming from? It's dry until the end of Feb — at least according to the ensembles. http://www.wetterzen...chester_ens.png
  17. Perfect. The dryness is most welcome. The fields and land here are still soaking wet and sodden, we need dry weather so farmers can actually get their tractors onto the fields.
  18. Despite the arrival of the warmer air, not much melting going on. Temp just above freezing.
  19. Just turned to sleety rain, but we had a good 2cm and everything, including the lane, is white
  20. Good moderate snow here now, just entered the main band!
