  1. No puddles visible yet on the web cams planted near the north pole. Are the puddles appearing later than recent years, or am I just not remembering properly?
  2. A low of 2.5C overnight, and most of the night under 5C! Very unusual for late June.
  3. We had big rainstorm pass through about 7.30ish and it has only just moved north of Ludlow in nearly 2hours. Might have had 1 rumble, but torrential rain - about 1cm in 20-25 minutes.
  4. A very disappointing 17.4C here — feels sticky but chilly. Horrid.
  5. Turned cloudy here now, but still warmer than yesterday. We didn't get above 15C until 16.00 hours yesterday.
  6. Judging by the ensembles, there is nothing especially warm and dry irrespective of living north or south of the Watford Gap.
  7. Rain is getting a bit too close. Is it headed this way? Looking very dark grey here and was hoping for a dry-ish day too. Get some stuff done in the garden!
  8. That's incredible. Does it always warm that fast? It looks like the temp has increased several degrees in a week!
  9. A couple of mm of rain overnight. Now it's cloudy, damp and cold-feeling. Come back sun, we miss you!
  10. Another stunning day here, almost wall-to-wall sunshine and a lovely 19C - great for getting stuff done in the garden
  11. Does anyone think that the thunderstorms currently ongoing in Dorset/Hampshire will make their way up here?
  12. Is all that rain coming up from France? In the past few years that seems to be where all the rain problems come from; when rain comes in off the Atlantic you know it's generally going to be of normal intensity, but the continental stuff just seems unpredictable and much more likely to be intense, leading to flash flooding.
  13. What has happened to the lovely sunny start to the day? I've got the heating on in the office, it's cloudy, and at nearly 11.30, it's still below 10C. Most of last night was below 5C, touching 3C on occasions. It's mad. Not encouraging for us in the west of the region. I thought the cloud was supposed to clear from the west, not the east.
  14. There is no drought anywhere in the UK is there? Ground round here still moist from the last rain, and water table very high for the time of year.
  15. Clear skies and a surprisingly low 6.1C and it's only 10p.m.
  16. Was good enough to sit in the pub garden last night, and I'm not tough when it comes to cold! Lovely morning here, sunny and warm.
  17. Someone in the Birmingham-Evesham corridor must be getting a storm surely?
  18. Looking pretty black to my NE — can't hear anything (yet).
  19. Yes, and cool enough not to make the grass grow madly. Poor farmers around here are still bringing feed out to cattle in the fields. I think it's either that or sacrifice the winter silage fields.
  20. Rain looking like it might arrive early afternoon, rather than late afternoon?
  21. Cold overnight, below 3C between midnight and 7am, and hitting 1.1C for 4 hours! Cold for campers, and stops the grass growing overnight. Cloudier this morning, with a huge band of rain lurking in the Irish Sea.
  22. A near frost last night with a temperature of just 1.2C
  23. Cold here too, most of the day below 10C. Very windy in showers which were frequent but short-lived. More like early March.
