  1. Fine rain and an ultra bright rainbow and a faint inverse rainbow. The webcam link has an image of this on. 10.6C - This rains coming down quite slow like sleet does, too warm for sleet though.
  2. Yeah its pretty bad here too, quitened down a bit but still quite heavy.
  3. Possible thunder and definite lightning in the early hours.
  4. Similar situation here, not really having much temperature variation between night and day getting a high of 15 between yesterday morning and now and for the same period of time a low of 12.2, current temp is 14.1.
  5. exciting aint it some good convection visible behind all the dark clouds too. Image from last night below.
  6. I had plenty of thunderless lightning and a few near misses with thunder which shook caravan and caused pans to fall off shelves. I'm pretty sure it was Tuesday night, although the reports for the south suggest Monday night, I consumed a lot of alcohol and seeing as it won;t count anyway because it didnt occur in Burnley it didnt really matter.
  7. Add another storm to the collection from this evening.
  8. Wasn't that bad where I've been I don't think, noticed some lightning and heard some rumbles but too busy to take much notice, but its another one to add to the collection.
  9. 1 storm for monday afternoon. As for last weeks action I wasn't here but just 10 miles away and encountered 3 storms and 1 funnel cloud.
  10. Shouldn't number of times thunder heard be changed to number of different storms heard or else I'd have been into the hundreds for last week.
  11. Lots of mw crackling here, no rain and no thunder. Currentlt talking to a guy in Rossendale so he'll keep me updated with anything heading my way.
  12. Yep, I had that storm also. 3 rumbles. Apparantly came over the pennines from Sheffield area. As for things developing tonight. Well, we'll see.
  13. My Final Report for today as I think thats it for me. 20 thunderclaps this morning between 2:40 and 3:15 am Over 80 thunderclaps this afternoon between 3 and 6:30pm Both homegrown and 0 from the main front which has now as good as died.
  14. Something??? Its mad here Tim, Ive counted well over 70 thunderclaps this afternoon, its mean stuff and I cant count anymore. This could well continue into the night when the stuff downsouth meets it. Its not moving, it goes away then comes back and keeps doing so.
  15. Yeah was overhead here at 2:40 as previously said.
  16. Didn;t hear thunder this morning, but by eck what a storm last night!
  17. Got the same storm as you at 2:40, the first one that woke me up was very loud, shook the house so much I thought it was collapsing with the noise, see yesterdays topic.
  18. What a night, saw 2 lightning flashes at around midnight, could have been the thunderless sort. Then at 2:40 I was awoken by the loudest thunderclap I can recall. Jumped up out of bed thinking the house was collapsing. Over the next hour I must have counted over 30 flashes with at least 20 returning thunder, after that I had dozed back off but the storm definetely passed over head and must have been very close.
  19. I appear to be the only one who hasn't had a thunderstorm.
  20. Keep me updated on the rain then, It Said Sunny Intervals.
  21. thunder tim, or just heavy rain?
  22. OK, those that I were on about just appeared before you posted so thought they'd have happened as you were typing.
  23. stuff appeared east of bristol on the meteorologica lightning map. Also something appeared just to my west which is surprising.
