  5. morning still raining here, the spray head in my pond is completely submerged. 2 days ago it was about 3 inches above the water surface. Min temp 16.4C, so a more reasonable 'feel' to the air, albeit a wet one if you go out! jh
  6. hello Moderate rain with 20C at the moment also with the odd flash and rumble and fairly dark. My min temp seems to have been confirmed with at least 4 RAF weather stations in the region recording the highest night min since the 2nd world war!
  7. hi after torrential rain this afternoon with no ts, just got some lightning and rumbles along with moderate rain, also quite dark. jh
  8. hi I'll probably get my knuckles rapped but never mind. If you all want to see why you are getting the weather you are this morning, then try the site below, if you have not already found it! http://www.net-weather.co.uk/forum/viewtop...opic.php?t=8487 Yes by Paul our host, its quite superb and will get better he promises. If anyone is not sure about which picture is which, and showing what, then if Paul is busy I don't mind trying to explain. jh
  9. morning An unbelievable min temp of 21.0C, that has to be a record for this part of the world. I've never had one that high and looking at the Finningley records their highest min was in August 1990 with 19.2C. Very unpleasant so not much sleep last night. Currently dropped to 19.7C with slight rain and overcast. jh
  10. hello Reached 30.6C so the highest this year and only 0.3C behind the highest last year of 30.9C on 6th August. jh
  11. hello Temp got to 28C by 1030 which is amazing, then quite a strong breeze picked up and it dropped in about 30 mins to 26.3C, now up to 27.5C. jh
  12. morning another hot day in store for here; 21C at 9am, lots of blue and a bit of breeze. jh

  14. hello Started the morning with low cloud cover and misty but already blue skies and temperature near 24C jh
  15. Hello At 8pm the temp was still 24C, I would imagine its not often that value is seen at that time of the evening around here. The max today was 29.1C, the 2nd highest this year, after 8th June. Lovely sitting out on the patio with a glass of wine! jh
  16. hi Not much in way of ts here but temps deserve a mention over the past few days. Today is the 3 rd day already this month to exceed 25C, altogether 6 in the last 10 days. 2003 figures were 6 in July and 8 in August. The mean temp for the 1st five days is 19.6C(16.1C monthly long term avge) jh
