  1. And I think I've just had a wee convective snow shower!
  2. Had to go up a bit for my snow fix today, hopefully the last time I'll need to do that for a while! Central Gully on Ben Ledi, just a scoping mission to see if I can get my son up it when conditions align with time off. Some nice ice starting to form. How many days from now until it doesn't snow do we think. I'm going for 18.
  3. Are we still playing XC weather bingo? I got 101cm Monday to Saturday! Off to count for Aberfeldy - reckon that could be ground zero. JFF Nope only 96cm in Feldy, any other guesses?
  4. A wee surprise for central belters tonight? Current radar. No radar issues here.
  5. Cracking winters day and lots of great pics. Snow and moon for me.
  6. That's a real measuring device! I love your optimism. Cosmetic covering in Dunblane this morning, too far west.
  7. Above the mist was the place to be today, really quite pleasant up there.
  8. Not quite ready to replace the profile pic yet. A round 6 inches! Sweet spot indeed.
  9. Do you have to WFH on a snow day? Asking for my wife.
  10. They're stepping outside to confirm precipitation type and they really can't tell.
  11. Just had first proper snow spell here, dropped a cm or so. Fascinating day of weather watching - looking electronically everything 50:50 rain:snow, no one on here any idea of what would fall. Good old fashioned look out the window - fail. Lots of graupel seemingly falling and bouncing on dry surface but resulting in a layer of icy slush that never got any thicker. Had to actually open door and go outside to experience what was coming down - still don't really know. Here's hoping for more proper stuff tonight for all.
  12. HI folks, not been around for a while but I thought I'd pop in while I wait for the coming shower (hopefully snow) and share some pics of Scotland, the land of snow and sun! All taken up Sheriffmuir inthe last few days, including the front arriving yesterday at sunset. Hopefully we can get through the warmer spell and enjoy some more local winter from the SSW.
  13. Hunners of snaw lying round a hot chemical plant in Grangemouth - remarkable. Drive back to Dunblane going to be interesting. Red warning well justified - M80 still stuck.
  14. Well that was an interesting drive, Dunblane to Grangemouth. Never had it so bad, not looking forward to the morning now!
