    The issue many have is that each day we are looking at day 10 .....never day 5 6 7 or 8 for winter to return. We are now looking probably beyond next weekend and then as we go into the new week we will be looking at mid month for anything resembling a wintery scene. Yes I appreciate posters can only attach charts for what the output shows . . However it just shows how incorrect they are if everyday there is a reset to day 10...it seems every day is a day 10.

    -1c this morning. Going a bit off topic....just because our winter except early December has been a bore fest. The USA is again in the grips of winter...everyone in California will see snow whether it's falling snow or visible on the mountains at the same time southern and southr eastern states will see Temps exceed 90f ...even Washington DC ....will see 80f . Now that's what I call exciting weather

    I am going to give up on this winter. Apart from a pre Xmas cold spell...it's been crud ...as we go into March despite SSW n a few who look on the brighter side...I feel another let down. UK just doesn't cut the mustard with cold.

    Just a stiff breeze here, sunny spells and showers. Much better than the perma gloom.

    Luke you should read your post....models do not have a handle on the effect of SSW..until we get some consistency and cross model agreement then we can think about winter woolies or t shirts n shorts.

    Its probably took a day or 2 to come up with this update.... and although we NOW have a significant chance of a colder outlook, they probably couldn't be bothered re writing the long range forecast

    So the grey nothingness continues..absolutely foul weather which has no purpose at all. Tho maybe some subtle hints of something wintery as we toward the latter stages of Feb. I hope so as apart from the dec cold frosty spell this winter has been very non descript

    What do you actually expect ? We are an island in the Atlantic ..we don't have a huge land mass. Extreme winter conditions are very rare..meanwhile -50s in Siberia are probably not. We are looking beyond day 10 for a real pattern change....

    Despite the hype..the UK is saying a big no to electric cars...2 n 3 yr old electric car prices are dropping each month .CAP values on some Tesla's dropped be a few thousand last month alone. Poor infrastructure lack of continued government grants for charging points etc.......

    I used to live on the other side of the harbour in Gosport..it used to be a very busy harbour with all cross channel and IOW ferries along with the naval ships and submarines

    It was pretty snow free here in coastal Ayrshire. ..plenty of snow to the north south and east of here. Over a foot of level snow in Lanarkshire and most of Glasgow with drifts of several feet !

    Dross of a winter continues for my area continues ( dec cold spell aside ) Daytime high of 10c today and constant gloomy drizzle... stuck in a rut.

    Just like many of you guys in NE England ...many of us in Scotland have seen v little snow especially in my locality. Current set up is only good for the far north....n showers are mainly working thru Ulster and into Wales. ..with bugger all in-between!!!

    Here in Ayrshire just a wonderful chilly and sunny morning...sugar dusting of snow overnight and ice on top of ice. Bloody mare walking about...

    Just checked the radar..must be some pretty poor conditions up north...cloud band moving south east looks like Dundee could get a hit if the mountain s don't drainage precipitation.

    Just standard winter weather really for these parts.. nights little below freezing days above freezing odd v light wintery shower..becoming milder n then a borefest high moving in may get a few frosts from that.

    Didn't snow here in Irvine overnight just lethal ice left from yesterday's wintry mix which froze....

    Lots of showers in the north of Scotland. . The NW Ireland going thru to isle of man and into Liverpool / Manchester
