  1. Fantastic pic from a lovely part of the UK glad that you lovely people from the south west are enjoy the snow...whilst in Ayrshire we are still waiting.
  2. Nice pics.. unfortunately can't take my dogs up to whitlee..as one of the totally freaks out at the site of the wind farm
  3. Minus 4 here... Looks like a cracking day. NW Ireland doing well some nice pics from Londonderry....so snow in Ulster ..snow up north. V little in-between
  4. Bone dry no sign of anything on the radar no disturbances or teasing polar lows..oh well.
  5. Hoping that some of the showers in far west can blow inland and not fizzle out..n make it over arran. Not likely tho
  6. -3c on the Ayrshire coast.. will take anyday after dealing with the fallout from Saturday's storms n flooding. Looks bone dry for many of us ..exceptions Highlands and Islands where snow showers will continue to be the menu of the day. Anywhere could catch the odd shower but certainly no major disruption other than the favoured spots.. some pleasent usable days ahead.
  7. It hasn't been added to the warning...the snow warning mentions Strathclyde the met office map shows snow affecting some of the islands of Strathclyde... unfortunately. Or have I got it wrong..
  8. Hi Aggy was mental here last night howling gale n lashing down. Plenty of flooding...annick water and river Irvine burst their banks m77 closed to flooding...queens drive killie the main shopping area is closed to floods.. n I work in Queens drive so should be interesting Arnold Clark will be open !!!
  9. Not the nicest of days has to be said..kinda sick of this cold rain n trampling through mud n puddles during walkies. Looks likely some cooler weather on its way next week..snow chances for many.
  10. Temp did drop here in Ayrshire very quickly 3c n rain n sleet. Looks like Tuesday is a very wet day xc
  11. That is an amazing amount of rain for an area that has been pretty arid over the last few years. This winter is definitely seeing some extremes all over the world...USA storms ..Japan record snow levels and sadly European winter heatwave with daily and monthly records broken.
  12. Think you still find v warm conditions pushing up from the gulf of Mexico is interacting with the cold pushing down from the artic / Pacific north west..it's adding fuel to the jet.
  13. Cold artic air pushing south through the USA ...meeting the warmth of the strong southerlies pushing north from the gulf of Mexico is certainly powering up the jet but also making for v interesting weather across the pond..heavy rains ..snow ..freezing rain .. tornadoes. Despite all this the eastern seaboard has remained fairly mild and snow free.
  14. Have a great New Year ladies ..gents n your families. Another year closes.. hopefully 2023 will bring a snowy Jan to march and a hot jun to aug .
  15. Yeah I may jump in the car n take spaniels for a new years day snow walk.
  16. Well a wet n wild night here in Irvine.... Had to get my hairy ass up at 0800 as our purple bin had spewd various plastic trays tins and continental lager empties all over the street n neighbours gardens..neighbours now know I am an alchy..Bin man said the harbour side was a riot all the bins turned over n looked like Beirut.
  17. Indeed I watch a fair bit of the weather news on USA weather nation..big swing toward end of the week to very Mild weather..they had a cold snap..just a very severe one..temps back the the 70s and 80s in the southern states and 50s 60s widely elsewhere.
  18. Pretty much clueless...mild windy wet cold spells snow n drier spells..covered all bases they can't be wrong
  19. Sorry I meant rs3 looks a belter...the colour is great. Suits the car...even tho I am a bear
  20. Avon wv7 are a decent winter tyre and are more than reasonably priced. Depends on your budget..? But our tyre guy says they are good.
