  1. Great thanks, just very busy with a new job, new grandchild, new life lol Hows things with you?
  2. What about the Monday/Tuesday snowfall Ian? Is that still likely? It's the grandsons first birthday on Tuesday and I would hate to miss his party
  3. We have splatty rain here. I am hoping this is a precursor for some of the White stuff.
  4. Yeah I've noticed some right old grumps in here lately. I only come on here for the banter but everyone is taking this weather malarkey far too seriously!
  5. Ok, so we're all going to ignore the professional forecaster and keep on looking for rocking horse poop in pretty pictures? Just so I'm clear...
  6. I have plenty of words to describe next weeks weather. lots of them would get me banned. Current weather in TA6 is bleurgh. Not that cold, damp and boring. Luckily I have a lovely Merlot to get me through, though it's a struggle as I am knocking the nicotine on the head so may have to swap it for a cuppa.
  7. Well that was rubbish for us. I woke up to the rain battering down at 4am. This morning, not even a frost.
  8. I drink at home, it's cheaper and I don't really like people that much. Now, am I getting a snow day tomorrow? It's v. cold here, but it's done nothing but rain, not even sleety stuff.
  9. Happy New Year all. Are all the old gang back? Has anyone mentioned M4 corridor yet?
  10. We had sleet here about an hour ago, everyone was very excited
  11. The sky looks really snowy here on the levels. Has anything been forecast?
  12. This is all wrong. Summers should be hot and winters should be cold. I was ice skating in a t shirt yesterday. Sort yourself out weather, no more grey skies and rank rain, let's have some winter sunshine and sharp frosts please.
  13. It's nice to see some blue sky rather than manky grey rain. Just been in the model thread, it's not looking good for cold and snow at the moment. I could do with a couple of snow days before Christmas as well.
  14. What Mullender Knight rider said. I don't tend to go in the new thread, no offence to the others but I loved my little clique of weather nerds, it's just not been the same since the divorce.
  15. Crickey, I think you're the only person that I ever heard say they hate light mornings, I love them. Definitely a summer person, I have loads more energy in the summer months. Plus I despise driving to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.
  16. And I drive an Alfa Romeo, so any excuse to splutter lolCheers will water now.So is this thunder and lightening heading my way? Don't have radar, only buy in for snow watch
  17. My car almost refused to start, I put this down to the 39c temp it was recording. Serves me right for driving a black one lol So, do I need to water my plants tonight? Just finished a very long parents evening and I just want to continue swatting thunderflys away from my glass of wine.
  18. Thanks so much J10. Your forecasts are invaluable to us festival goers. Fingers crossed that these showers avoid the site as there still seems to be some uncertaintity as to how this will all play out. Or maybe I am just being overly optimistic Thanks again. This time next year yeah?
  19. I like your positivity I'm now off to pack my wellies, waterproofs and inflatable dinghy lol
  20. I wasn't a fan of those graphics pointing straight to Pilton though. Looked more like a deluge than a light shower.
  21. Country file wasn't pretty. Fingers crossed this will be...
  22. I'm going with a mate but more than happy to meet for beer with a fellow weather nerd. PM meJ10 I refuse to believe anything other than sun. Things will change
  23. This is great news! Keep up the great work j10 and let's hope the wellies can stay in the car this year. After a particularly stressful year of work I need to be able to lie down in a field and look at the sun, My non g going friends don't understand my love for this festival or that it is my (and lots of others ) happy place where you shake off the stresses in life and regain perspective. It can be hard to achieve that sense of well being on a muddy year. I think that is why so many people become so obsessive about the weather forecast. You're helping mental health j10
  24. Jackone you are a star! I have promised myself not to check in daily, so had a wobble when I saw a 'stranger' was doing our forecasts. Many thanks and let's hope for a dry one!
