  1. Bit of a damp morning so far but it's starting to dry up now and looking a little brighter. Currently 9.2°C after a low overnight of 7.4°C.
  2. Awful afternoon, cold & wet... High temp today 8.7°C, not much breeze today.
  3. Anyone underneath this activity? A number of recent strikes. Overcast and wet here...
  4. Damp start to Tuesday, overnight min of 6.7°C, currently 7.8°C. Hopefully see some brightness later but won't hold my breath! Easterly wind was very gusty yesterday but much lighter this morning.
  5. You can join the no storms club and be happy that you're in it
  6. Warmest day of the year so far!! Currently 15.2°C with hazy sunshine, it's quite breezy so taking the edge off a bit. Good drying day...
  7. You'll soon be in tornado alley Nick! Not in the UK though so doesn't count lol...You'll still be in this club until you experience a storm here...
  8. Time for a new thread as we're nearly halfway through spring with summer just around the corner. Storm & convective discussion for the UK & Ireland, if you want to discuss storms across the rest of Europe there's a thread here. Unhappy with the lack of storms in your area? There's a thread here if you want a moan. Old thread here.
  9. Waiting patiently for the first thunderstorm of 2016? Hate thunderstorms and don't want any? Moan & rant here... I love a good thunderstorm! But not had one yet, almost as rare as snow here...
  10. Pretty typical spring fare up here so far with a bit of everything, rain, showers, wind, frost & snow (high ground) and some warm sunshine even if the air temp hasn't been especially high. Plenty of usable weather days for getting out and about doing outdoor activities. Could be worse but also better with a bit more warmth, although it's never been overly cold.
  11. Cloudy and breezy this morning with an overnight low of 7.2°C. Rain not too far away on the radar but it's moving NW towards N Ireland so it may stay dry until later on before the front moves north tonight.
  12. Some photos from my friend around their farm near Sedbergh this morning, quite a wintry scene. Just got back from a walk round Cogra Moss, lovely day.
  13. Frost? What frost?! The April sun has made short work of that...Up to 4.4°C now and climbing.
  14. -0.2°C with a frost coating most surfaces, suns up now so it won't last long. Should be a decent sunny day for getting out and about.
  15. Real nice day so far, chilly in the breeze though with a temp of 7.5°C atm. Bit more cloud inland and a dusting of snow on the mountains from last night. Zoomed in
  16. Chilly & sunny start to Saturday after the front cleared east overnight allowing temps to fall, currently 2.7°C.
  17. First spots of rain as the front moves in with an increasing southerly wind, been a decent day up to now with some sunny spells and a max temp of 10.2°C this afternoon. Chilly weekend coming up with some showers likely but no washout so some usable weather for getting out and about.
  18. 5 degrees colder than some of the days during December! We waited months for northern blocking during winter and now look at the charts...
  19. Nice sunset just gone! Mainly dry day apart from one sharp shower around lunchtime, got up to the dizzy heights of 9.1°C this afternoon. Can we turn the calender back a few months! Painful viewing...
  20. Bright & breezy morning with cool NW'ly wind, it's dry though. Got down to 4.7°C overnight, currently 8.2°C.
