  1. Well if the some of the experts are right cold snowy winters will happen every year from now on for the next few decades. Will we all become mildies
  2. Had 3-4 inches since last night here so now around 10 inches deep. How come bbc forecast last night and early this morning had no mention of any snowfall here even though the meto had a warning out
  3. Time to dig out the suncream and shorts cause that would feel tropical
  4. Same here. If we keep snow cover till sunday we will of had a covering at some point in the month for 7 months in a row. Impressive for uk away from really high ground.
  5. Bbc radio said showers would continue all day and tonight and tomorrow and into thursday. 2-3 inches here Overnight and exsisting cover topped up nicely.
  6. About 2 inches of fresh snow over night and currently moderate snow falling
  7. Just been out with dog and there is 3cms of fresh snowfall on cleared surfaces since 5pm. Plenty of scope to double that going off radar and forecast for some heavier showers in the morning.
  8. Quater inch covering on cleared surfaces here and light to moderate snowfall now. Streamers forming east of newcastle and durham coast so somewhere could get a decent covering if it continues.
  9. Bbc graphics at 6 didn't show and snow tonight or tomorrow but lots of showers on wednesday so who knows what's going on at the meto
  10. http://twitpic.com/cebwpf another pic of snow here. If its like this here god knows what its like at 1500-2000 feet+
  11. http://yfrog.com/nzfkscjvuj here's 1. Will be more but they are taking an age to upload from phone
  12. Took loads of pics of the deep snow and drifts around blanchland but can't upload any cause they are all over 2mbs. Any other way to put them on here anyone know
  13. Epic drifts on blanchland-rookhope road. Road closed by one around 20 feet deep. And all this 20 miles or so from town.
  14. Currently in blanchland and snow away from drifts is 36cms plus some drifts dwarf the car. Roads from kiln pit hill 4x4 only
  15. Right off to see family at allenheads so will report what roads like later
  16. Looking like our chances increase from midweek according to some on model threads. If you are looking for deep snow today head for ladycross near slaley. Around a foot there as of thursday and road should be fine. Plus if its open rookhope to allenheads road should be fun.
  17. Those welsh pics look pretty similar to here in Jan. Every dog has its day but when it comes to snowfall there is no better place to live in england and wales then the NE. Have faith I have a feeling the north sea isn't finished with us yet for this winter.
  18. He reckons its worth evbery penny although might be the ale talking in the anchor
