Indeed, we had more snow in that 30min storm on Tuesday than we've had since 3pm today. Really fine snow, very sparkly snow in the security light. Wonder if we have more to come overnight?- 767 replies

Encouraging to hear how long people have had snow falling - didn't start hear until 3/3.30pm so for a real nice covering it would be good if this continued into the small hours. I guess that on our garden bench which has still a good 6-8 inches from snow earlier this week, tonight will add another couple.- 767 replies

Nothing doing in Norwich, windy and cold and it's interesting to see snow melting on paths but not lawns etc. When I say melt, it's just evaporating into the air as the concrete is dry around the melt rather than seeing trickling water. I thought we would have had snow by now. Fingers crossed.- 772 replies

So, the snow which has been falling all morning in my neck of the woods of Norwich must be coming in off the sea and isn't part of this main band coming over from the west? If places to my west don't have snow yet I do, that must be the case? Just been over on the model threads and Sunday looks good at the moment for snow in our region.- 796 replies

Had another 2-3cm overnight and it's snowing already here when it wasn't expected until lunchtime. We had snow in some form everyday this week and on the lawn we must be up to 5 inches. Roads have been bad (I got couldn't get my car out one morning). If this continues it goes beyond "it's pretty" to being "can't get out now". When will it all stop?- 796 replies

So looking at that PPN chart it's showing Norfolk with 1 to 4mm. If 1mm = 1cm of snow that's not bad when it falls on top of exising snow we have. Any thoughts from people for Monday/Tuesday snow for Norfolk?

Not wanting to sound greedy, but do we think Norwich will miss out on Friday's snow?

Still loads of snow round Norwich. I couldn't get out this morning - left at 7.30am and car wouldn't go more than 20 feet (live on a hill). Got out eventually at 10am and took 90 mins to do an 8 mile journey. Rough on the way home tonight but better on main roads, side roads just ice rinks. Minus 2 inside the garage this morning, let alone what it was outside. Going to be another cold night. Wonder what Friday will bring!

I reckon we had nearly as much in the past 30 mins or so as we did for most of last night. Amazingly heavy snow shower that was. Getting lighter now.

Well that's alright then! I was worried there that we would only have a foot of snow tonight!

In a good way for Norwich, or like eye of the storm meaning Norwich will get no more from the rotation?

Nothing yet in Norwich but fingers crossed. Three gritting lorries gone past in last 10 mins, one with a snow plough fitted to the front and I've never seen one of them round here before so it looks like the council are getting prepared, good for them.- 761 replies

Dave, what's your snowcast for north west of Norwich later today and overnight? Will this wraparound pivot around Norfolk meaning those in the middle won't get as much? Mind you, a couple of cm's is beter than nowt!- 761 replies

A light dusting in north norwich this morning, makes it look seasonal if nothing else. At the moment there is snow falling but it's that really fine stuff that blows along in the wind - probably the same 50 flakes just dancing around. Everything points to later today for fun time so let's see what mother nature deals us.- 761 replies

Lovely afternoon in Norwich with sunshine and pleasantly tepid. Some angry looking clouds passing in the distance but any ppn would fall as rain. Over 2c in the garden. I hope temps fall tonight and stay low for the rest of the week otherwise it will be marginal for snow I feel.
