    So after a quick snow shower last night that vanished as quick as it came, back to dull and misty (first thing it was very misty). So come on snow, where are you hiding?

    Interesting - I'd counter that with it was useless for us in the east! Maybe we could have something middle ground and we'd all be happy! Looking at the radar us in the east could be in for something, unless the PPn runs into warm air then we will be up a creek without a paddle!

    Yes, I was just going to comment on that, as the PPn moves east, the southern part of it is turning to sleet. Hope the NE edge of it continues as snow as Norwich will get something.

    Yes, I admit I was surpised to see the METO warnings for Norfolk (amber too!) for Monday and Tuesday. Fingers, toes and everything crossed for that to come off....

    Absolutely nothing here in Norwich, been a nice day, sunny and warm-ish. Cloud building but still bright. When will we get any decent snow? So many parts of the east have had nowt or very little so far this year.

    I feel your pain. PPN now stopping here and a little brighter. Not long to January 2010 for our next shot at some snow eh?

    For me I would say colder for longer here, but so far a lot less snow than previous winters. So far of course, we still have a little way to go but the snow has not affected here like other parts of the country, and from an easterly too.

    As usual, nowt much happening in Norwich. Awoke to a slight frosting of snow but it was already raining by then and now we are back to nothingness, just wet smeary rain. PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE SOME SNOW HOPE TO US NORWICH FOLK!

    Paul, what is your confidence level for north east anglia on thursday/friday? Do you think the METO are covering their backs? Are the current trends just too difficult to predict?

    Just read the Meto warning for Thu/Fri for Norfolk. Now that is funny.

    It wouldn't surprise me if it was natural! The lack of decent snow in Norfolk (and I've heard Suffolk too) would probably show up like that! I'm saying this a bit tongue in cheek!

    All you non-easterly people with snow make me choke on my cup of tea! Seriously, enjoy it for me please, build that snowman and have fun in it! Us in Norfolk had so little yesterday in relation to everyone else and what it could have been for us - an easterly. Nice day here today with sun, but icy overnight. Temps now rising above freezing so it should clear more of the ice on the roads

    What little snow has all but gone now, except the odd wonky snowman or just large ball of snow. Sunny but cold. Is that it for winter then?

    I just posted this over in the e.anglia section.... but I can't believe how bad Norwich (and probably most of Norfolk) have doen from this snow event, considering it was an easterly and so much snow was around. And now the rain has set in to melt away what little we had. Any chance of any decent snow for Norwich this week?

    Grrrrrr. Double whammy. What little snow we've had is now going under the rain. Has Norwich (and probably most of Norfolk) ever suffered so badly from such a dream set up so close by?

    Agree, similar in Norwich. Whilst we have at least had snow, it started to melt quickly today and despite more showers this AM and near constant light-ish snow this PM, it has continued to melt. Now looking more sleet like. I reckon that is eat. Just amazes me how an easterly can miss out a fairly big chunk of Norfolk. Modern winters eh!

    yes, well, you just tell it to keep moving north to us in Norwich. Very dull here but not much in the way of white stuff falling from the skies.

    Agree. A CM or two at most. Considering where we are, easterly etc I had expected more! Some people (me) are never pleased! Can anyone alay our fears and confirm the best is to come for us Norfolk people who love snow?
