  1. Thanks Joneseye. So it that case moving further north would help me in Norwich. TEITS-I like your map, looks good for you and me! And I still promise you that snowman in your honour!
  2. Kold, you say the models show the snow line further north-does the line cut right across the country, west to east, or is it like a sausage shape that only goes as far east as say Northamptonshire. If the latter than eaither way with me being so far east that snow line can go as far north as it wants, I won't get any!
  3. How about good old Norwich? Draw a line across and we are north of Birmingham, but out on the east coast we are furthest east away from the aproaching action. Please give me some hope in a snowless Norwich, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
  4. Interesting to awake to a light dusting of snow in north Norwich this morning. That will be the last for a few days now but it will be nice the have some seasonal temps.
  5. Norwich? Who said Norwich? I'm worried..... Worried of Norwich.
  6. Where is crazy snow fan? I'd love to see a few "the snows massive falling mans" or "me iz under 100feet of the snows"
  7. My in car temp gauge is usually about 1 degree out from my weather station, but the car one only shows increments of .5. I can get in the car on a cool, but sunny day and the temp can be 20c, but as soon as you move off and the air gets to the sensor, the temp can go down to a realistic 12c. I presume the sensor wont be in the engine bay.....maybe under the boot area, away from the exhaust. You could try posting your question over on www.honestjohn.co.uk as this is a very active car forum (the forums are in the section called "the back rooms" and have a technical area which probably suits your question).
  8. Snowing in Norwich! Yayyyyy! A nice shower too, still ongoing. Had some overnight-a light dusting on the car.
  9. We've had a sprinkle of snow in north Norwich sometime late afternoon-cars and bin tops have a dusting. Temps still holding above 0c, even now-strange....

    Snow baby yeh! (in Norwich)

    Snow today 30/12/05!
  11. OK, so they can go outside ok. I think my north facing is the front of the house-don't want to get it stolen! Might try and hide it away....I could mount it on my conservatory wall as this is is not centrally heated like the house so may help with preventing false temp readings! At the moment its sat in a plastic food box outside!
  12. I bagged myself a Oregon BAR323 today for £33, nice little unit. However the manual isn't 100% clear on where I put the outdoor sensor. Now I presume it has some form of weather protection-the battery compartment had a rubber seal for example, but just where would I place this sensor unit? Screw it to the house or garage? Does it have to go somewhere a little sheltered so if it rains its not likely to have the full shower directly on the unit? Any advice would be great!
  13. Fantastic amount of snow in the last 90 mins-a good inch or more already and still coming down. Temp at -1c, and was very cold and dry overnight so sticking like something-to-a-shovel!
  14. Lovely big fluffy flakes of snow, coming down at a fair rate too! Sticking to the dry surfaces.....if only this keeps up all night....oh I can dream!
  15. Earlier in East Norwich there was a lovely covering. Came down quick and stuck as roads had dried out today. Enough covering to get the ABS and traction control going. However North Norwich had a small shower that soon vanished.
  16. Ooooh. Nice heavy-ish snow shower in Norwich, good sized flakes too! Come on winter, you can hang on!
  17. Still the odd snow shower. Accum. must be a good 2cms now! YES YES YES!
  18. Norwich-snow snow snow. All day, showers about 15 minutes apart, not settling as temps about 3/4c. But tonight at about 16.00, temps drop to 0c and the snow is becoming more intense and sticking around a lot longer. Oh thank you snowgod!
  19. Yep, overnight heavy hail/snow leaving a smattering of a cover this morning, then a little while ago, this: Picture of Norwich snow!
  20. Nice cold, crisp morning with a stiff breeze from the NW. A bit of high level cloud cover now coming across.
  21. Very yuk in Norwich. Breezy and not too cold, but rain! Hardly stopped this afternoon, very dark and grey. Rain coming over in waves, looks like fog. If only it was snow!
