Stopped snowing in Macclesfield. Looks like the temperatures are not low enough to keep the snow that's settled - everything's going slushy.

Well that didn't last long, light snow grains now. Slight dusting.

Oh well, better than a kick in the nads I suppose. <_<

Obviously none here in essex :) but I have friends in Warrington and Sheffield both reporting snow to me. Sheffield in very technical terms have big bits!

Snowing lightly here, but the temperature is -0.3ºC and rising, so I don't expet it to last very long.

Snowing all morning here in Stratosshire, first as grains, now as larger feathery flakes. About 5mm lying, everywhere going white. Current intensity on the Stratos scale is 5-10, so quite some way short of a blizzard.

Snow just stopped here in Linthwaite, Huddersfield-mainly wet snow but on moors/hills opposite (guess 600-800als) its settled-very pretty-guessing about 2/3cms up there!

Snowing for the first time today here inScarborugh now. Not heavy, but it should be cols enough for it to stick around if it snows a while :)

Moderate-heavy snow still falling, 2cm lying now. Temp' has risen to

-0.5c.

As Stratos succinctly put it, about 5/10 on the Snowfall Terminalis

scale.

Sleet and wet snow continuing on South Tyneside, not cold enough for it to settle. Having said that, I can't say I'm disappointed by the event given that I was expecting freezing rain.

i'm determined to get a snow report in.

Just taken elderly relatives back to the sw suburbs of Sheffield, they live about 750 ft up, snowing quite heavily, visibility down to only a few hundred metres and 1cm of lying snow.

Here in Doncaster, see normal report!

Looks like thats all the snow fall for here.

Temp is minus 0.5c

Wind is west 3-8kts

Total cloud cover

3cm of lying snow - not thawing at present

(So much for my earlier prediction of sleet rather than snow - I will need more practice at this game!)
