The temp was very brave overnight and snuck down to single figures (min 9c) so i think we should all applaud and reward it's bravery B)

Sorry John...they are all in my head somewhere...Sometimes, though, we do get lower than the official UK minimum. The other side of the coin though - is that we occasionally get some very hot afternoons in the summertime. If you have an Ordnance Survey map of the area, you'll see why...

Got my Anquet 1:50,000 which gives an idea. Seems you have a hill to the east and west, maybe a bit of a rise to the north before it falls away into the Firth. Is that about right?

Yes, I think that you have it about right there...You'd have to see it for yourself, but we are surrounded by hills. It's breezy now and 2.4 - the SW wind has got through at last...In July 1995 it was going down to about 1C at night and approaching 33C in the afternoon. Sometimes a katabatic wind can blow quite strongly during a summer evening - the conditions need to be "just right" though...

The lowest temperature I've had was in December 1995; it was down to abround -25C at night and barely exceeeded -18C in the afternoon...It wasn't, in the least bit, enjoyable!!!

I suppose - that's frost-hollows for you??? :lol: B) :unsure:
