A few light showers of snow and small hail during the day. The 3cm of fresh snow this morning had thawed by midday but we've still got almost 10cm of old snow lying, 75% of ground covered.

Hills about 12 miles north of here are still 100% covered.

just a few flakes falling now with the dusting that formed melting. Also I can report 2 hail showers during the day today and a more prolonged sleet/wet snow shower. Best was this evening but it looks like it is finished for me now.

Hello everyone....... lovely winters day here in faversham kent, if you didnt have to travel....

Woke up at 7am, to my suprise heavy snow....... continued until 4pm, tapering off to sleet/wet snow/snizzle.... have 6inches but hear parts of kent have 10-14 inches.

Had my driving test, due at 1.30pm, cancelled....

treacherous roads, took 2hrs to do a 15 min journey.... very thick slush on roads, if that freezes itll be appalling in morning.

Walked in thick snow 230pm to pub sat nxt to nice wood fire and had pint watching snow falll heavily.....

hopefully that area over netherlands/belgium is headed our way for later?

Have fun people, and BE CAREFUL OUT THERE cant believe how many times weve had snow in this spell but people still dont know how to drive in it.....

had six inches sunday/monday here, last wednesday had 4-5 inches..... had 16-17 inches poss more in this last week alone, pity it kept melting.....

woke up this morning at 8:00.am to light snow which had settled in places very patchy. snow showers continued to about 11:00 am quite light in nature but with some heavier outbursts with one really heavy shower for 10 minutes about 10:30am (the heaviest snow shower all winter). 11:00 am till now some light hail in the early afternoon currently dry and cold.

Just put the dustbin out - snow has stopped. Temp approx -1 according to my trusty christmas cracker thermometer. Patchy cloud and windy.

Had an hour of heavy snowfall this morning around 10AM, settled for a while before melting due to the rising daily temperature. In the last hour had some light to moderate snow showers. Coming across horizontally in a very strong NE wind. Looks like we might get some more overnight if the showers keep feeding inland from the northsea through the wash area :)

Had a single light snow shower tonight around 6pm, this lasted around 5 minutes and amounted to nothing. The dewpoint is extremely low at the moment however, so any more precipitation tonight should definitely be snow, heres hoping for some. :)

Snow this morning between 8-10am gave nearly an inch. But it was wet stuff and disappeared by midday.

Started snowing at 8Pm lasting until 10pm, gave a dusting which isn't budging as the temperature is now -1C and the dew point at -4C. Just started up again after a brief clear interlude. This snow is dry, and as it has been dry since mid-morning until 8Pm its all settling, especially given the air temps now.

One or two heavier showers wouldn't go a miss and it might be a winter wonderland.

After a day with spells of rain, it finally turned to snow this evening, and a shower between 9 and 10pm has given a light covering.
