Had a wet night with heavy rain. Stopped temporarily now but quite windy. The hhighest gust so far has been 24MPH. The temperature is jumping between 12 and 14C.

Complete cloud cover with what I would describe as Stratus, though there are clouds below it which are darck and small, but otherwise very "cumulus-like". They are zipping along the sky at a fair old speed!

To look at a tree down the road, I would say that we have a "fresh breeze" going by the beaufort definition, but I can here what sounds like a far stronger wind blowing constantly.

we had very heavy rain this morning here from 3am and its just stopping now

a large number of roads are closed. this is what they said on the radio on traffic watch - "we are getting reports of flooding on roads and some vehicles are stuck in the water"

also a few schools and business are closed after there roofs collapsed. there has also been power cuts in a number of areas.
