Status has plunged on alerts hopefully the next pulse will push it up soon

I'm all setup in the Yorkshire Dales and as soon as I switched the phone back on the Auroralerts went nuts. A slight crescent moon above and clear skies as I'm sat patiently waiting for darkness.

Sat in the garden on the Yorkshire Wolds looking at the clear sky, 1 mile yomp up the hill to our vantage point, luckily my mates farm is up there so just waiting for him to message

 Scuba steve Im not wandering too far from the car tonight so technically 'car camping' but so far it doesn't look like much sleep will be had still twilight this far north but occasionally I keep thinking I'm seeing aurora curtains moving. Another 30-45 mins and the camera should start picking things up.

 *Stormforce~beka* take photos on your phone with night mode and you will see the colours but the naked eye doesn’t pick it up as good as the phone does

Just got this

North is our worse direction to see anything with a hillside and trees blocking the view and a street lamp but I took this from the other side of the house and could barely see the green colours with the naked eye.

Still not that clear but i won’t criticise the camera on my ageing IPhone again.

I can confirm seeing this with the naked eye, colours woth naked eye, green & pink colours,  will post pics later but can confirm colours from dartmoor with naked eye!!!
