Really nice

You got the SAR Arc. and the white/green strip besides it I think is S.T.E.V.E.

Watching the webcams last night in Iceland around midnight I could see the northern lights to the North whilst the cameras were shaking from that 5 mag earthquake!  Truly magnificent.

i also got sent this from someone as it’s interesting

Typical. Clear skies, a chance of an auroral display and it was a bust.

Did capture a bright fireball to the north

The forecast G2 storm has arrived but yes tipically it's now mostly cloudy 😕.

Photo taken ten minutes ago showing a faint aurora sheet. I personally think it will flare up again.

Seen here in Derbyshire (Magpie Mine) at 10:15pm, being outside in the -4'c temps and spending 10 minutes de-icing the car was worth the effort for the reward. A brief display overall lasting no more than 10 minutes but it was quite photogenic with some green 'hue' lingering to the northern horizon 3 hours afterwards.

Space agency Nasa captured the burst that temporarily disrupted radio communication on Earth.

A shame the weather isn't looking as favourable, trying to find some decent breaks in the cloud-shield that will be above all of the UK over the next 3 days and aside from the extreme north of Scotland tomorrow night & Yorkshire Dales for a brief time on Monday evening it's looking like a bust 😞

Some unexpected clear skies to the south of Manchester overnight although unfortunately the 'main event' has been staggered by some 6 hours so the main CME will now be impacting at around 9am. I did have a quick look to the north from the Goyt Valley as the Glendale App went on a brief Moderate Alert but nothing was spotted from here.

The main CME has now impacted although typically the UK is shrouded in cloud. There's a 60/40 chance of seeing some brief breaks in the cloud around Buxton between 5-7pm this evening but watching the live Finland cams will provide more clearer skies.

Sadly despite today's best efforts the CME impact just didn't deliver at these latitudes, almost as soon as it hit the polarisation flipped North making it somewhat of a subdued event for anyone outside of Finland & Sweden. I waited around for 2 hours hoping to get a brief clear-slot through the clouds just in-case things perked up again as the Aurora was 'energy cycling' but the weather decided on remaining stubbornly cloudy. Called it a night at 9pm but given we're at peak Max Solar Cycle there'll be more opportunities before next late Spring/Summer.
