General consensus is for a CME to impact Earth in the next few hours which might raise chances of aurora

Moon will be a killer but there's a possibility of anything stronger getting through with up to KP7 strength

The real killer is the Atlantic system moving in.

The second CME but a brief burst of energy around just after 2 am our time allowed for some rays visible to 54N.

Spotted here at 2am in the High Peak with the confirmation of similar sightings from Robin Hoods Bay, Devon, Midlands, and Norfolk. Luckily I was already half-awake at 1am when the Aurora App began buzzing away on the phone as KP5 was met. A shame it's too light this time of year at this latitude otherwise there'd be the likelyhood of seeing some Auroral structure to this CME impact.

Incredibly brief aurora display - was just lucky that I had the camera setup for NLCs as I could see purple/pink beamers using my phone

Both the solar flux and sunspot numbers are in the 200s currently with the solar flux at 214 and the sunspot number at 227.  So far solar cycle 25 is well ahead of schedule and much stronger than predicted.

Yes, it's definitely a stronger cycle than 24 and was predicted to be similar or weaker.

Yeah it was only about KP4 I think.

Also there were photos of Aurora and NLC together from Scotland.
