Hail/snow shower in Coseley West Midlands about 5 pm gave light covering in 15 mins (Ice cream van came up our street and parked forlornly before driving off as it started (if only I'd got my camera..)

Here at Keele, hail/snow gave 3 cm by midnight (possibly more during the night) not much thaw by morning, but then melted rapidly in strong sunshine, but just had a 15 minute heavy hail/snow shower to replenish ..

Had a brilliant snow shower last night, not big flakes but loads of it coming down, had sleet/snow flurries all morning, the big showers seem to be just missing us as usual, but nevertheless i can still rub it in, i was right about us getting snow, since everybody i told didn't think so, lol.

Dusting of snow in vale of Stratosdale yesterday evening, no more 1cm though judging by what i had to scrape off the car at 530 this morning. Flew in yesterday and there was a dusting across the top of the Pennines; same this morning flying south: widespread thin cover across the Pennines, above about 200m or so.

Was away for the weekend in Edinburgh on a stag do! :drinks:

Had a couple of snow showers from 2am in edinburgh on Saturday night but nothing lay.

Got the train to troon and coach to cairnryan as our boat was cancelled. Weather a bit sleetish all the way.

Got the only boat going back to Ireland last night and it did a fair bit of bobbing and corkscrewing on its way. Heavy showers of snow in the Irish sea.

Back to good old Ireland about 11 ish and it was chucking snow down. Up to Ballyclare and it was getting a good grip on the ground.

MOstly gone this morning :wallbash:

Still getting very heavy showers coming through but it's a bit to mild to let it lie.

Lets hope tonight is a bit more productive as the temperature drops.

Heavy Snow, soft hail mix falling here in Reading atm

is it sticking on the ground?

just wondering if my drive home from petersfield to basingstoke this evening will be somewhat dangerous or not.

Just had a heavy hail then snow shower, huge flakes which left a dusting, temp dropped from 5.9º to 2.0º in minutes.

Here's hoping this theme continues overnight I might at last wake up to more than a dusting for the first time in a year.

Sittingbourne looks to be getting hit hard by what look like huge downdrafts of hail/snow...... very odd structures to it what ever is falling out of the sky over there..... I can see developing mounds of cloud out to the north and north-west of faversham. there looks to be three huge plunges of hail/snow in succession....

Goin dark here now......
