Just had about 10 minutes of heavy snow here but it has stopped now. I'm currently at work which is about 900ft above sea level.

Starting to see some beefy snow showers here. Temps dropping quickly, down to 2.8 degrees.

bit of a strange one this, happened around half 12 in bournemouth, dorset.

started to rain, heard what sounded like hail as it hits glass (im in the attic so can hear what hits the roof better) then the wind got up, was 10c at the time, next thing it was almost white in the air, not the ground, then blizzard like sleet and small wet snow was blowing around for 5 minutes, along with rain and hail, it changed from one to another every minute or so, was wierd.

temp dropped from 9.7 to 7.9 in the last hour and a half, winds have totally died down from this mornings 70mph gusts.

i'm sure i didnt imagine this happening, snow and sleet at 10c? maybe there was a cold area in the precip that was over us and really raw cold wind that kept it in its snow and sleet form at the speed it was blowing down and therefore didnt quite melt until it hit the ground?

who knows

bring on the snow, we're forecast some tomorrow afternoon, only an odd shower here and there, and hopefully some over friday night :wallbash:

have a good day, stay safe and warm, but enjoy the snow whoever gets it!

A couple of wintry showers earlier with some very heavy soft hail that left a temporary covering on the grass before melting. There was also a bit of wet snow at the back edge of one shower.
