good afternoon

well im on a day off and have been tracking weather reports via the traffic news on radio 2, it turns out that it is snowing very heavy around rochdale at this time. I have just spoken to my brother and his girlfiend says that there are snow showers in SE Sheffield.

judging from the reports on here it is very sporadic the snow with one report giving snow in stoke and another in spalding that puts the line of showers from NW to SE pushing SSE, funny thing is that there are no reports comming in from the midlands around rugby Leciester ect which is with in the front edge if reports are right, however this could be rogue showers forming as the temp drops as we move into the evening.

For me in Bedfordshire i think we have a 60% chance at this time of seeing snow later this evening. Other wise its been a cracking day with loads of sunshine but with a chill in the air, regardless of any snow i think we are in for quite a frost tonight

A few heavy soft hail showers around mid day then 20 mins of moderate horizontal snow left a smattering just after 3pm.

A few flakes currently falling.

Hello ppl, not been on for a while, just had a long band of snow showers skim Broseley and caught the North end of Telford at a guess.

Had 30 seconds of flurries, nothing else but wind and strong wind at that!!!

Woo, Stratosshire, snow capital of NW Yorkshire.

It's been raining in Doncaster. And I was so looking forward to saying "dry in Donny", has an almost alliterative ring to it. Have to settle for rain in Rotherham then.

Northerly, polar air, rain...not good really.

Went outside at 5.22pm and witnessed the start of a very light snow shower, the wind has just woken up too and is quite strong.

5.38pm and IT'S SNOWING!

Started snowing here about 10.30 am,was quite heavy at times with a strong wind to go with it,stopped snowing about 2pm leaving a decent covering of 2 inches which should stick around due to a very cold night tonight.
