Snow showers around 21:15 yesterday left a 1cm covering on grass but not on the road.

Freezing conditions overnight have resulted in patches of ice on road and pavements with snow still lying this morning.

Cloud banks to my east indicate showers running down the east of the country from the north sea.

Mostly clear overhead at present.

Snowed almost continuously since about 7.45am here in MK, with heavier bursts at times. Absolutely lovely to see some snow!

Few light snow flurries here this morning, as demonstrated by the dark/ angry looking clouds in the pictures this am. Majority of the snow came about 7pm yesterday & then froze solid (temp of minus 3oC at 7am) More pics in photography section

Snow showers this morning from Melton Mowbray (06.15am) to Spalding (07.15am). Some heavy, most were moderate. Snow was settling readily on the roads too, as no de-icing salt was laid. Lovely.

Ha  Was probably lucky this morning then seeing around an hours worth of snow (OK, probably about 40-45 minutes taking into account brief breaks). Bank of cloud was quite obvious driving up to it, but nice to see all the same.

Five minutes or so of unexpected snow this morning between 0930 and 0935- ish. Large flakes which began to settle on the still frozen ground but which melted quickly once it had stopped.

Yes that's what we got here but it was very wet though at this level.

yes I went to The Plough pub, just outside Hathersage, for lunch with two elderly aunts and the owner said they woke up to a covering and had some sleet/wet snow for a time, after breakfast.
