It is going to be a lot different out there this year, National Geographic have funded the Timmermobile due to the fact they only have Limited availability from Josh Wurman and the Dows, this is due to the US Government ordering out the Vortex2 Project, In other words instead of 2 Dows there will be about 10 of them, and around 15-20 Support Vehicles, It is one of the Biggest Projects ever and Booking Rooms is gonna be a Nightmare with nearly 100 People in their Group. So I guess Sean (Tiv) might be a bit put out this year, who knows how it is going to run, but certainly changes will be had out there this Season! And yes it is going to be even more Packed and like a Circus on those Roads :):)

Tell you another thing that is going to be Interesting is that they have 3 Model Planes which cost $25,000 each which are going to fly within a few Miles of the Tornadoes, these things can fly at 100mph and are GPS Guided from the Ground.

My god it is going to be crazy crazy out there this year :):)

Oh and just found out they have an armada of 50 Vehicles :):)

Paul, I find it a bit odd that the Vortex 2 project is not going mobile till May 10th this year. maybe its a logistical thing as they are hitting the road on May 1st next year

dose it worry you that things might be going bit over the top? also could their be a case of to many people out chasing. cause the more people out their the more risk of someone being killed or injured?

It varies by location Pat but generally the internet access is fast enough. Upload speeds were good enough to upload the odd video and use Skype to call the young lady etc. The one problem is, us (as a group) have a disproportionate number of laptops compaired to a normal group of guests, so we do find that we can sometimes be compeeting against ourselves for bandwidth at times.

Anyone know the easiest way to get from Terminal 1 in Heathrow to the Sheraton in Heathrow on Saturday. Is there a shuttle bus or is Taxi my best bet?

ask for the HOPPA BUS...cost around £4.00...its by T1

a fleet of 'Hoppa Buses' regulated by the airport authority run

on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 hotels.

Standard fare all hotels: £4 per person.

T1,T2,T3

ONE TAKES YOU STRAIGHT TO SHERATON

Please do not confuse the the Sheraton Heathrow with the Sheraton Skyline Hotel

Hoppa Bus Operating Times (Last Checked March 10th 2009)

A separate Hoppa Bus service runs to Terminal 5 than a service for Terminals 1,2,3 (central area). There is no direct service to Terminal 4. For Terminal 4 go to Central and take the Heathrow Connect train (free of charge to Terminal 4). The Heathrow Connect runs every 15 minutes

Terminals 1,2,3 Hoppa Bus (for T4)

Last bus from Terminal*:23:39

First bus from hotel :04:26

Average frequency :20/30 mins Terminal 5 Bus

Last bus from Terminal :23:47

First bus from hotel :04:18

Average frequency :20/30 mins

* Time stated is Terminal 3 schedule

Fare £4 per journey per adult (£8 return), children £0.50.

so its a battle of bandwidths

im to excited now I can t settle
