Hi all

Currently hovering at -4.1C with a high of 1.0C at around 1pm although the temp Was sub zero again by 2.15pm. Mind you it is nice and fresh out there and better than this mild stuff!

The ground is rock solid for the first time this cold snap because of the cloud cover over the last few days not allowing the night min to drop much below -1C.

I believe its quite possible to be honest. Of course it depends on where it is situated (shade/direct sunlight etc) but it may not have been telling porkies. However i don't trust my gizmo 100% of the time becuase he may be telling fibs!

-1.2c which is the lowest I've recorded this winter. Pales in comparison to you rural Scots' readings but not bad for a city centre in the Midlands! Certainly noticing my location being less cold than my former suburban location last winter.

I see Kinloss is now at -11c for somewhere that is right at sea level and seldom has lying snow this is is quite unusual and we are approachintg 4 days of these low temperatures which for recent winters is not normal but perfectly normal for a nineteen sixties winter.
