Temp has dropped 2^o in the last hour and the wind has picked up, with some light cold rain

I guess this when the model watching stops and the nowcasting begins

Things are really stormy here in Derry now. Throughout N.Ireland there is 24,000 homes without power and roads are blocked with fallen trees. Have a read about it here.....

The storm has hit here hard in the last 15 minutes. Very strong gusty winds making the house groan & rattle and the windows whistle!! The rain is absolutely torrential and is hammering the house with every gust of wind. Its very rough out there. Meant to be going out - we have a babysitter too!!

Second day in Stockholm and the weather is worlds apart from back home.

Started off around a bitterly cold -8.5c this morning with everything frosty and sea/river ice.

Was sunny to but turned increasingly cloudy through the day and is now around -2c and overcast.

Absolutely hammering it down here now, had a lucky escape as I just took the dog for a walk 25 minutes ago and I got home 10 minutes ago, just before the rain started lashing down! It's really got the wind up aswell, the wind is blowing very strong here now and by the looks of the radar it's going to be near torrential rain for the next few hours. I feel sorry for whoever gets caught outside in this because it is very wild.

Just been watching my beloved bristol city on sky, and what a monumental achievement we put in to come back from 2.0 down in those dire conditions to finish 2-2 up the reds.
