Still hovering between almost sleet and almost snow here... no noticable melt, but can't help hoping for big flakes.... T very steady at 0.9 C for past few hours

Here has hardly snowed all day, although in the last few minutes have a few light flurries.

The radar shows snow should be falling but that's not what I'm seeing so far.

I really fancied a duvet day tomorrow as well..! :D:D

Be patient, the snow will develop through the night and tomorrow. Rain will fall here in Aberdeen but it will stay as snow in Ballater.

The reporter who the BBC have placed at Melrose is admitting now that it is turning to rain! Why are the Met Office still forecasting snow? If it doesn't turn back overnight then there should be a few red faces around tomorrow. All of the Border schools are closed tomorrow on the strength of their forecast so I think a few working parents will be angry as well.

got sleety rain here atm, very light, and got ice crystals as well, odd little mix!

i think its trying to give something, will see later on, think we can give up any chances of anything decent here now.

They got it well wrong for here! Anyone who was following the models and the radar yesterday could see that it wasn't going to happen. They will not admit it though! If things had gone their way they would have been reporting from the Pennines this morning. Where are they? in the bl**dy Blue Peter garden building a teapot? with yesterday's snow! Yes I am miffed that it didn't arrive but I am angry that they persisted with their forecasts. A lot of people depend on their predictions.

Just looking through various media outlets - most are reporting some "major" snow heading into Scotland (eastern) through the course of today...the MetO warning seems a little vague only really applicable to ground above 200m, yet the media are in my opinion, guilty of making this into something it won't be....

The wind is still blowing in from the east, so, maybe there's a slight chance of seeing a snow shower - but with sodden ground and a dp of 2c in Stirling, I think nowt is coming today....

1.5 C and miserable wet sleet here this morning. Yesterdays lovely snow melting away.....

Looks like it will dry up later today. So, back to work. Hey-ho.

Lets just hope we might see some more action as the winds turn more northerly over the next few days.

No lying snow that I can see in Aberdeen.

Nope - rain or sleet during the night.

I friend who lives north and a bit west of here said that (on his way home from work) the snow started at Newmachar.
