Nice bonus showers today which has left a dusting! At times moderate snow falling and blowing about :)

Stopped for now but hoping later on tomorrow the mild sector doesn't come this far west, but hey all of this and all that's coming is a hell of alot better than a Bartlett! :)

Just a flurry here right now. 0.1c.

I can literally see about 1km away just complete white, looks like there could be accumulation there.

Hail and snow combination. Seem to remember from my navigator's meteorology classes that cumulonimbus required for hail; perhaps some of the wise people here know the answer

what are the chances of thundersnow? is that in any of the models, or will this be just straightforward snowfall.

It's almost impossible to say, the models can't predict where or when, but it is possible.

The snow has finally arrived in West Suffolk. Lots of moderately sized flakes whipped along by the breeze falling quite quickly!

Hello stranger !!

It was a hefty shower indeed - and another one as I type :)

Just started snowing again here. There's one mighty fine looking cloud (is this one of these anvils you speak of?) all lovely snow flavoured colours heading this way.

What area can you see that is white? Is it Hertford area?

These showers seem to be fizzling out in the central belt across East Anglia - to the north and south, places are getting hammered, but through the middle there's been nothing. Had one flurry at lunchtime and nothing since. Hope it's not going to stay like this :D
