strange morning, woke to -4.2 no frost on grass,cars, etc but pond has started to freeze.

clear skys no snow as yet thought might of got a bit last night.

Currently -7.4º with a beautiful blue sky and not a puff of wind. Reached a maximum of just 1.0º yesterday.

Interesting (for me anyway) to see that the previous night's coldest recorded place was Warcop, which is only 6 miles from here.

Woke up 7.15am to glorious sunshine and clear blue skies-I couldn't find a cloud no matter how hard I tried.

Very cold-car temp shows 0 and that was in the garage! But as reported above, no frost outside and it feels very dry out there-weird.

However, the clouds are now building up-grey ones at that....

I just looked outside my back door and it is getting more cloudy in Hertford. I will give you an update at 3pm.

As expected, the band of snow passed a mere 10 miles to the west of Lancaster. It was plenty cold enough, but stayed dry.

Cumulus clouds now getting developed over the Lake District and coming our way- there's a shower to my north at present, the question being will it hit us.
