Calmed here now after regular flashes all the time... only one got close and that cut the power... not happy about that! but still a good show, only needed some popcorn and it would have been better than the Cinema!

Please don't say the big one North France will hit Wales?

I think anywhere to the SW of Reading could see lightning in the distance from this beast, it's intensifying NWwards as it hits land!

Is Glasto likely to be hit?

Glad you all liked it. :( The rest will be up when the storms have passed and I've got time to sit down!

More lightning, thunder and heavy rain outside currently. There's a lot of standing water and runoff - I can see there possibly being some serious problems with flooding this morning.

Apart from the huge storm over the channel heading your way? ( i think)

WOW! Well done :(:(

I still think it is moving in to much of a westerly direction to reach bristol, Im 20 miles south of bristol and it looks like only maybe cliping us tonight in north somerset.

I hope so, sat in the traffic for 2.5 hours yesterday just to do 2 miles because of those people.

Im 6 miles from glasto and i think it will maybe clip us giving some steady bursts of rain but nothing to write home about or wake me up even because it will be early hours :( .

anyone noticed that to me it as slightly veered more East even though its still heading North West

Think it is building on its eastern flank Pat! The Storms are still moving North Westwards but the Trough is moving NE So radar gives the impression it is sliding East whereas it is still heading WNW.

Main play for South East England tomorrow is for Storms to Fire in NE France and head WNW Towards Kent and then London and South East, should be some Home grown ones b4 that all gets here though.

An interesting 24 hours ahead

We have had some good lightning around the Barnstaple area this evening, but nothing significant. Anyone out there think that we could look to something better tonight?

These storms are very slow moving, amazing lightning, but thunder is still distant... flashes 15-20 a minute....

Unable to drive - due to broken ankle, so can only watch from top bedroom...

Yep Port Talbot works. I was on Sandfields sea front. I am watching the next one moving in to see if its worth another quick drive down for more shots

I think the ones in the bristol channel are starting to die down now as the front has moved more in land. ANyone agree or is it still worth another drive to the front for more pics

Yep Port Talbot works. I was on Sandfields sea front. I am watching the next one moving in to see if its worth another quick drive down for more shots
