Again big differences depending on distance from the coast. Bridlington has been at 15C all day, while Leconfield just a few miles more inland from here reached 27.4C.

Warmest day of the year so far today here with plenty of sunshine until around 4pm, been quite cloudy since then and its stifflingly humid now.

A cloudy day here on the Suffolk coast - a little sunshine on Monday morning aside, its been a cloudy week so far. Only managed 16.5C today and its amusing to think that after the "breakdown" we will actually be sunnier and warmer by the weekend!

Peaked at 29.4c for me today, at around 2.30pm thats around 1c less than yesterday. The local met office weather station says 26.8c as the max today.

Currently still sunny and 23.4c, might be another warm night.

Hi Norman, yeah I know, my brother told me its been very hot in Ipswich, and I don't think he believes me about how cool and cloudy it has been! I think areas within 10 miles of the coast have been cool and cloudy, further inland than that and its glorious!

We've been stuck under the North Sea haar/clag all day with a northeasterly breeze. However, in the last hour its cleared out!

A remarkably static sort of a day with absolutely nothing seeming to shift or move around, the clouds remained in situ for the whole day, with blue sky trying to pierce through and the sunshine tentatively raising its head but quickly dissapearing again. No wind to speat of at all. We have seen no showers at all, we were forecast loads of showers today, but they decided to stay to the east of the Pennines. Had we got some more sunshine I think they would have quickly erupted and they would have been real beasts, alas its been a bone dry day.

Humidity is very high, the highest it really get.

Expecting a higher chance of seeing a shower tomorrow and more general rain later on and hopefully a slight drop in humidity levels, going to be a tough night to get to sleep in..

Lovely big storm clouds developed inland late afternoon looking beautiful to the NE against the surrounding blue sky.

Last night was very warm 17c min and today was hot 27.1c but 24c on the other but felt much warmer due the very high humid feel,warmest night and day since July 2006 and tonight is a scorcher at 21.5c currently.

Much more sun to yesterday,plenty of alt-cas aswell later this afternoon with lines of CB`s to the west.
