No luck for me. It's been showing signs through the day but nothing is reaching that far East. Pressure dipping but now staying put. Hovering around freezing. Everything, but everything has gone south or north of us. Clear sky's. :cold:

Got a dog called Toffee - shower over now but wow what a shower and I think more to come later - but we have a great base to start with

biggrin.gif It's my football leanings that lead me to that username...highly original I know! Fingers crossed. It's turned inoto sleety snow now, but a covering in 5 mins, so the best we've had so far. Hoping to get what you've had, just glued to rain today!

And snow likely to get over the Welsh hills into Shropshire

Thats very likely to happen as shropshire is only 10minute walking distance from here :cold:

Clear now, could see a few shower clouds before but nothing at the moment.

I'm more than jealous.

Nothing predicted for Abergavenny or Hereford area. My luck just isn't in this Dec :wallbash:

If anyone has some good news for me i'd like to hear it

Can't help you at the mo as you seem to be out of the meto's warning area but, you never know the showers may try and push even further in land - I think this scenario so far has caught them a little off guard - so you never know

Just had a white-out of hail, then sleet/icy mix

Can anyone explain why this evening it's hail and not so snowy/sleety

Oh and precip seems to be moving more ENE than early... SW winds must be starting to kick in

more heavy snow - seems we might be in the "sweet" spot - far enough north for it to be snow but not too far that it's not reaching us!!!!!!

Problem is the heat coming off irish sea and Bristol channel then meeting Cold air off the land

Dew points in Pembrey and Cardiff Wales Airport etc are above freezing... needs to drop

I think lucky ones tonight will be the ones further away from the coasts... and of course some elevation will help

Once the showers come into view, showers are more potent should reach swales within a hour, we could end up with a couple of cms before dawn.
